N & T’s restaurant located in the old Rooks building, is a pleasant melding of Thai Asian and American cuisine. The menu is not an overly extensive one, but everything on it is done well. they have a buffet on the first Thursday evening of every month with Thai and American food. It’s a refreshing change of pace from all of the Korean owned and Chinese owned buffets around the area. Thai food has a unique flavor all of its own. And if you like spicy, you can get it really really spicy. I’m posting pictures of our breakfast, and I will post more in the future. It’s a real family atmosphere with a large shout out for veterans in this establishment. Any time you’re there, you will see veterans from Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a family-owned Independent restaurant, sort of in the vein of Papa Marcos even though the food is of a different ethnic flavor. The cuisine is just as delicious in both restaurants, as both restaurants support military and law enforcement. This establishment is well worth a 5-star + rating!

Went here today on behalf of my community program sponsored by the Lake County Health Department. I had the chicken lo mein and it was excellent! Very flavorable! I also recommend their salmon tacos and salad. I love coming here and I highly enjoy the service of staff and positive attitude of an atmosphere feel very welcomed!

I love that you can get diner type food or Thai food. This is very unique. I have had both types of food here and the food was delicious. The ladies that work here are very friendly. Both times I went there I enjoyed the food and service. If you are going only for Thai food, don’t go on a Monday. That is the one day they give their Thai chef off.

My grandson took me out for breakfast and we chose N&T Family Restaurant as we had never dined there before. Both of our meals were very satisfying. The service was friendly and quick. I will be coming back for lunch and dinner in the future.
10-18-2024: My wife and I had a late breakfast here. She had the Pumpkin-Pecan Pancakes (She shared with me, very delicious), and I had the Biscuits and Gravy. Both meals were excellent and we will go again for the excellent food. It’s worth the stop if you are in Zion, Illinois, and want to stop for excellent food.

I love my food spicy. This place, spicy was an understatement. I had to order a milder version. Love the food. The atmosphere is a combination between family restaurant and weekend diner, which is a great combination. I will most definitely return! The picture is the spicy version!!

Excellent Sunday breakfast buffet! Everything you could want- scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, breakfast potatoes, fiesta potatoes, French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, polish sausage, biscuits&gravy, donuts, fruit, more; all for $9.95. Very friendly staff with small town-feel atmosphere, fast service, outdoor seating. If I lived in the area, I’d visit often.

A great place to gather for breakfast. Every town seems to have that one go-to cafe for breakfast, and it’s easy to see why N & T’s is one of those spots: delicious food, very reasonable prices, and service with a smile. Definitely looking forward to dining there again.
