It’s located in a plaza and we stopped to grab some carry- out. I really don’t eat much from here but I did have a piece of fried chicken and tasted my friend’s food. The rice was a bit hard, and the goat was a good try. I was yes impressed with the platter itself. One piece of plantain and no veggies. The server was pleasant and I like the vibe of the restaurant. Apparently, they have karaoke night and have artists come in another night. I would definitely love to check that out. I want to give them another chance so I’ll check them out on another day.

First time there. We had the saltfish, fried dumplins, festival, plantains, goat. Best cabbage from a Jamaican spot. Everything was looked good and what we had was delish. We also tried the coconut cake which was moist and tasted close to pudding. Great stop and we’ll be back again.

Food is amazing so much flavor and taste in every bite definitely was seasoned to perfection! This is one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Orlando in my opinion, Usually when you go to a Jamaican restaurant the rice is so bland and has no favor but this place was perfect and the rice was so fluffy and flavorful, even the brown stew snapper was bomb !! Only reason I’m rating it a 4 star is because I ordered my food off DoorDash and in the description I asked for jerk sauce to be put on everything, but they only gave me A small container with the jerk sauce inside and it wasn’t enough, But if I would’ve went inside the restaurant I’m sure they would’ve gave me extra jerk sauce with no complaints. Anyways If you’re thinking about trying this restaurant out please do you will fall in love. Next time I’m thinking about trying the jerk chicken

This could be a great spot because the restaurant is decorated nicely, clean and festive. But, the food is hit or miss. The patties were really bad, but the fish and festival and other dinners were decent. I never see live entertainment there. Poor hospitality, the bar lady and servers not welcoming. They need to step it up.

I’ve been a regular customer at Reggae Riddim Jamaican Restaurant and Lounge for some time now, and that alone should say a lot. I’ve ordered food from here on several occasions, and the consistency in both flavor and quality keeps me coming back.

Let’s start with the oxtail—it’s without question one of the highlights. It’s cooked to perfection: tender, well-seasoned, and the gravy has that rich, slow-cooked depth you expect from authentic Jamaican cuisine. The jasmine rice it’s often paired with is a pleasant surprise—fluffy, fragrant, and perfectly prepared every time.

The brown stew chicken is another dish I highly recommend. The seasoning is on point, the sauce is bold but balanced, and the chicken falls off the bone. You can tell it’s been marinated well and stewed properly.

Their fried chicken also deserves praise—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. It’s comforting, no-frills, but executed well. The steamed vegetables are simple but well done—still vibrant, not overcooked, and they add a nice balance to the heavier entrees.

Now for the downsides: the rice and peas could definitely use some improvement. It tends to fall flat in comparison to the rest of the meal—under-seasoned and lacking that signature coconut or thyme flavor. Also, the portion sizes labeled as “large” don’t quite feel like a true large—more like a generous medium. That’s not to say you won’t be satisfied, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Despite those minor critiques, I genuinely enjoy eating here. The food is flavorful, the menu offers solid variety, and there’s a clear effort to provide authentic Jamaican meals that remind you of home—or take you there for the first time.

If you’re in or around Apopka and craving island flavor, Reggae Riddim is definitely worth a visit. With a few small adjustments, this could easily be a 5-star spot.

I’ve been to this restaurant three times and it has been a different experience each time. I will say that overall the food has been good and the people working have been very accommodating. All three times I went they have had very limited sides. I went about an hour before close this last time and there were no sides. They gave me some extra oxtails in place of the side . I always get the large oxtail, goes for about $25. Looking forward to trying a night with live music! I really appreciate the customer service!

The lounge is really cool , the food has always been pretty good they only give you two pieces of plantain with your dinner combo. I wouldn’t recommend getting lunch from here off DoorDash as what you receive will NOT be as advertised. No plantains no cabbage , and it’s comes in a little square box just some rice and three pieces of chicken. If you were to say something to them about it they would just give you a stank face. If you really like Jamaican food it’s good. But the service and hospitality are neigh unmatched in rudeness. And they only serve festival on Fridays sometimes it be hard as hell too. I posted a picture of their dinner plate which used to be the size of their lunch plate. The current lunch plate looks like it’s for a beef patty or something. I recommend the business a simple change to the menu on door dash if the lunch plates are that small tbh. Between the service and the cut back on the portions with a raise in the price. It’s got some work cut out for it.
