Casual stop selling health-conscious grub including bowls & salads, plus kombucha on tap & coffee.

I found the food to have a vast variety of choices, and absolutely fabulous.
Most of the prices are reasonable.
However I find the service itself to be poor and lacking as your suppose to tip a non waiter/waitress server that does not serve nor collect. No Bueno!
Further more if your going to work with customers in the United States, speaking and understanding english clearly and fluidly is highly recommended if you like repeat business and recommendations.
I am going to change to a five star, as my boyfriend and I went back for a second chance and it was better, as tips were earned this time by interacting at our seat with service to receive our food! Thank you!
I don’t mind putting my dishes away on the way out, it should be marked better to do so.
I love the make your own bowl.

The people working here are so friendly!! Coconut cold brew is a must get. Great place to work or hang for a bit because of their nice patio seating area!! Inside has some seating as well with a couple outlets. Breakfast sandwich was 10/10 too!!! Coming back next chance I get

The Hive coffee shop at AMLI Marina Del Rey may look like a nice café, but behind the scenes, their operations create a serious nuisance for the residents who live here.
Every single night at around 1:30 AM, delivery trucks arrive for The Hive — seven nights a week. These are large trucks with lift gates, engines running, loud reversing alarms, and flashing lights that wake people up in the middle of the night. The deliveries last 30–60 minutes, and the noise carries directly into apartments above.
What makes this worse is that The Hive doesn’t even open until 7:00 AM. There is no valid reason why deliveries must happen at 1:30 AM when they could easily occur after opening or before closing. Instead, the business chooses a schedule that disrupts hundreds of residents’ sleep for their convenience.
A café should be part of the community, not a source of nightly disturbance. Until The Hive changes its delivery practices and respects the residents who live above them, I cannot recommend supporting this business. If they fix this, I will update my review.

Bad service in the afternoon..not sure if the morning staff is better. I updated my rating due to another bad experience, purchasing food at 6:30 pm, and not being allowed to eat inside because they were closing at 7. We were not told our food was going to be to-go only, we, and two other couples, were literally kicked out. ….I’ve been here many times and the food is usually very good. Service is generally OK too. However, I want to share a recent issue. I placed a to-go order two days ago for two chicken pesto bowls, and both were missing the chicken. Since it was takeout, I didn’t realize until I got home—and by then, the store was closed. I called the next day and was told I could come back to pick up the chicken, which didn’t make much sense and honestly took me by surprise. I let them know I wouldn’t be returning just for that, but wanted to make them aware so they can look into it and improve. I was disappointed with how it was handled. If interested in looking into it, the order was to go at around 6:50 PM on 07/02/2025 (I added a video of the bowl)

I met a friend here for breakfast. It’s a cute little spot! The menu has hot breakfasts, salads, açaí bowls, and smoothies.
I had the breakfast bowl which isn’t marked as gluten free but is indeed gluten free. It was great!! Next time I’d ask for my eggs scrambled just because it’s hard to sop up all that yolk-y goodness without bread. But overall, very happy with my breakfast. I also got the Jasmine green tea and they gave me a FAT wad of tea which is awesome.

The Hive is my go to spot in Marina del Rey! Their OB breakfast burrito (without the pickled onions) is the best! Delicious, health, fresh, + Inspired

I got the iced strawberry matcha and the smoked salmon toast. I stood at the register quite a while before anyone acknowledged me. Food and drinks were good though. Almost all the customers there who stopped for a coffee had 1-2 dogs with them, which i loved! Plenty of outdoor seating.

We had a fantastic breakfast at The Hive. I went for the salmon toast with poached eggs, while my girlfriend chose the avocado toast. Both dishes were really well done—fresh ingredients and great balance of flavors. We also ordered two cappuccinos, one with almond milk, and finished with a gluten-free chocolate donut. The cappuccinos were spot on, and the donut was a perfect sweet treat to end the meal.
Everything tasted fresh, and the ingredients were well-balanced and flavorful. The portions were satisfying without being too heavy, and the overall quality really stood out. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and attention to detail, The Hive is definitely worth a visit.

We moved to the neighborhood recently and have gone to The Hive a couple of times now and definitely plan on making this a weekly treat. So far we have had: hot PSL, iced PSL, Green Hornet Smoothie, the Açaí berry champ smoothie, and the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Everything we’ve tried has been yummy. Cute and quiet little coffee shop in MDR. Pricing can vary depending on if you just get drinks or if you get drinks and food. For 2 beverages and 1 breakfast sandwich we spent about $45

Fantastic spot to get breakfast, have a variety of foods for all diets. Indoor seating is tight, couple tables and a long running high top facing outward. Then, you have a few more tables outside. Nice little spot for a quick breakfast run.
