We were in town for a Volleyball tournament and a friend recommended this place for breakfast. So glad we took him up on his recommendation. After being served the best breakfast, by the friendly staff, I was surprised this place wasn’t packed for breakfast. It’s got a great atmosphere and wonderful staff and good, hot food. Prices are fantastic, too. They also offer lunch and dinner. I will be going back when in Iowa next month. Highly recommend this place!!

When we were driving through Iowa, we were told we had to have a maid-rite. So we did, this restaurant was in a convenient location for us. We loved the doner atmosphere, and we were surprised they have a lot of different choices. We ordered the Cheese-Rite and the Maid-rite chili shoe. The order came out quick, hot, and tasted good. Next time, I will need to try an appetizer and a shake cause they looked good.

Arrived at 7:30 sign says they close 8pm. Was told we couldn’t eat in and only could order to go. We drove all the way from Illinois. Waitress said it was supervisors call and guess I am confused as posted hours are just that. We could have easily ate and been out in time. Ridiculous and just horrible customer service. Obviously they didn’t want to work and do their job. Trying to get rid of us.

Step through the doors into the 1950s and 60s. This is as close to an Old School Maid-Rite as you are going to find. The service is quick and friendly and the food is excellent. So unless you happen to have a time-travelling DeLorean this is as good as it gets!

Great All-American diner in the middle of the heartland. Quick stop in for early lunch. Had the Cheezer breakfast sandwich and it was excellent. Service was great! Decor is cool. If you’re looking for good, Americana, style and menu, Maud-Rite is your kinda place!

This is a good example of a “greasy spoon” diner. The signature “maid rite sandwich” is flavorful enough but incredibly basic, think sloppy joe without a sauce, but it did have dill pickle relish and onion and yellow mustard. The crinkle cut fries were hot and crisp and the shake was thick. The staff was very friendly, engaging and efficient. The remainder of the menu covers breakfast and others assorted meal choices.

I ordered the 2 for $6.99 sandwiches, the person behind me ordered 8 of those and they were filling the order placed after mine, when I asked where my order was I got Attitude from the older waitress, poor Customer Satisfaction, I won’t be going there anymore!
