Old timey bar with shots and beers for the tradesman. No frills while getting advice on tree removal, plumbing, welding, automotive and recipes for smoked game!
Skill machines, juke box and sports oriented. High school wrestling a specialty.

My husband and I stopped in there 5 5:00 or so and before we even got in the door the bartender don’t know her name but she was very rude said no animals are allowed in here. I said it’s a service dog she said that doesn’t matter I said according to federal law you have to leave a service dog in. She said you have to talk to the manager well the manager was not in I tried to call twice and it went straight to the voicemail so I guess managers don’t really care. The third time I called they didn’t answer the phone but the manager was not in the person told me he’d be in at 7:00 this morning which is Friday morning I will attend to talk to him this morning on Friday the 13th. But I’m not looking for anything that he’s going to say that’s going to help this situation. Service dogs are allowed in they are protected by federal law they went against federal law so I guess this is not a good place to eat or drink we just wanted something to eat and drink with a service dog this isn’t the first time that it’s happened to us not at this restaurant but a different one I will be reporting them to the law enforcement agency to see what can be done. Remember service dogs are are protected my federal law. I hope the manager reads this and tries to get in contact with me but I guess maybe not if this is how they run business.

This place is a pretty decent dive bar. Absolutely no frills, shot and a beer kind of place. For those that are looking for somewhere that opens early, such as a third shift worker, they open at 7:00 a.m. smoking is not permitted as well. They also have a parking lot in the back of the building. Kind of off of the beaten path.

Ford’s is a great little bar in Shaler, right out of Millvale. It’s what one would consider a “dive bar” but the locals are really friendly as is Beethoven, the dog of the owner ( typically there only in the early afternoon). The bartender always has our drinks (beers) ready as we’re walking in the door and the prices are very affordable!!

Very nice people! You are able to smoke in the bar and I am not a huge fan of that! But atmosphere is great!

Bar is a very local establishment and it takes a while for the regulars to adapt to you. Plus the cologne that someone (bartender?) is wearing could drown a small village.
