This was our first meal in Miami and we absolutely LOVED it. The food was amazing so flavorful and great portion size, really made us feel like we arrived in a latino city. Definetly recommmend the elote the nachos and the al pastor tacos. The service was incredible. Belkis was a delight. She was so uplifting and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. 100% recommend as a post beach spot. 10/10!!

I LOVED this restaurant. We stopped in right at the beginning of happy hour and took advantage $9 Margaritas and $12 for 3 tacos special. The food was amazing and service was attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to stop by again

Man! Had the Vegetarian Tostado in Jan of 2025…. It was so good that I had to come back for it in Jan of 2026! My husband had the Pastor Tostado and it was the best he has even eaten. Light crunchy bottom and so flavorful. Margaritas were top notch too!

The staff was amazing and friendly. Made use feel at home. The food was top notch (had the nachos and al pastor tacos). The Al pastor was some of the best we had had (my wife said that this is what she is always looking for in her Al pastor). The nachos were large and come with everything! We were pretty full sharing one before the tacos were even to the table. Highly recommend! Food is in the $10-$20 range, but we loved it and bought extra for our flight home.

We visited Matilda’s Taco Bar and it was absolutely outstanding!
The burritos were incredibly delicious, freshly made, and perfectly seasoned. The churros for dessert were a real highlight – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with a heavenly chocolate and scotch-butter sauce.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was super friendly and attentive.
We will definitely be coming back!

Looks are deceiving. It looks like it’s going to be a great place to eat. We ordered three margaritas and they came out in wine glasses and only a 1/4 filled and weak for $16 each. We ordered the burrito The Flautas and fish tacos. Surprisingly all of the food was bland and small portions.
Our server, Emily never came to check on us. Service was very slow, and there was only one other table there. She also gave me the incorrect bill and then argued with me that it was my bill. This place is definitely deceiving and a big disappointment. The photo of the margarita in my review is the way It came with how much we received. I hate the fact that I was already charged a gratuity for Service that was not earned.

Matilda’s Taco Bar serves some of the best Tacos I’ve ever tasted. The salsas go from mild to fire, however all have a delicious taste. The queso fundido was topped with an amazing, shredded chorizo that took it over the top and the chips were fresh and lightly salted.

My wife, daughter and I all ordered the Birria Tacos and WOW what a true surprise. The shredded beef was really tender and seasoned to perfection. The Oaxaca cheese was mild and fused the meat and shells in a tasty manner. The corn taco shells were tasty and toasted to a slight tender crunch. The consomé aka Birria is a rich stew served as a dipping sauce for the already juicy tacos. Amazing! Simply Amazing!

The service was spectacular! Our server was a lady named Belkis and she was very professional, attentive and served us with a warm and inviting style. She was friendly and managed the outdoor dining experience like a 5 Star establishment. Sergio was the cook, and I can’t describe what an excellent meal he prepared. The food and the plating were both excellent.

The décor was nice, outdoor seating was comfortable but I’m not gonna lie the only negative was that the tables were a bit sticky.

Now let’s talk dollars and sense not cents.
Matilda’s is located on Prime real estate in one of the top destinations in the country and you’re not going to pay taco truck prices here. However, when we did the math we realized the Birria Tacos cost $8 each and again I promise you the taste is out of this world. The canned sodas were almost $4 each. The Chips were $8 and the queso was $5. Come on really? Does that sound crazy prices for Tacos 3 blocks from Ocean Drive in South Beach? Yes, there’s an automatic 18% gratuity but our server earned that and the additional we gave.

Overall this was a great dining experience that we’ll visit again when in Miami.

The food was really good. Expensive for what it was but that’s status quo for the area. The server was really nice but service was so slow and they forgot part of my order. They also did not bring out the food altogether for my party of five. Some people were finished eating before mine was brought out. It was moderately busy though. It was right next to a busy street with frequent honking but really not a bad spot.

We stumbled upon this place while incredibly exhausted and hungry after a day of exploring.

The server wished us a happy Thanksgiving and told us it was also her birthday – she was absolutely lovely and friendly!

The food was amazing and so many vegetarian options.

Would recommend for a decent priced meal in a quiet but bustling location.
