This place really exceeded my expectations. All the food was SO good, unique flavors prepared with care — we had nothing negative to say about any of the items we ordered, really wins across the board. Atmosphere was clean and open, and our server was kind and attentive. Was surprised it was fairly empty while we ate; granted it was Monday but I feel this place deserves more traffic.. hidden gem?

If you come here ask for Caleb! He is a true gem to the foodie community! His recommendations were perfect & this elevated our dining experience. Honestly it made the food taste better when paired with the proper wine & cocktails. Ask for Caleb you will not be disappointed!! 10/10 recommend!!

Absolutely delicious meal, awesome indoor-outdoor environment, and phenomenal service! We started with the medjool dates, octopus, and artichoke appetizers. All were so tasty and unique with their own spin on it! Entrees continued with each component intentional and cohesive. We enjoyed the Alaskan halibut, yellowfin tuna au poivre, summertime corn papparedelle, and chicken Parmesan. For dessert, we tried the pumpkin doughnuts and they made us an affogato! 12/10 recommend trying this tasty Tampa gem on the bay!

My friends and I had brunch at Counter Culture for the first time today. We received the most incredible service from Romeo, one of the managers, due to a small inconvenience. Romeo went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant experience and was genuinely so kind and enjoyable to talk to. Our server Patrick provided us with excellent recommendations and was attentive. We all were impressed with our delicious-and beautifully presented-food, and the mini donuts were out of this world! Next time we’re in Tampa, we will definitely return!

Very modern and unique setup which I quite enjoyed. Almost a back to back bar option, one bar facing large open garage style doors and another “bar” counter seating the kitchen which I loved. We went with a larger party and they had no issues accommodating a party of 8. Hostess was very pleasant and we loved the service. Cocktails were made to perfection and the food was fantastic. Great place for a romantic dinner or just a night out I would highly recommend Counter Culture. Could can tell its a scratch kitchen, everything was so fresh! See you all again soon! A+

If I could afford to eat here everyday. 1 would. It’s that good. Brunch today was flavor in your face: shakshuksa with grilled rye and REAL corned beef chunk hash with a side of waffle. Ate the whole damn thing, could a slurped the plate but — held back. An anniversary brunch we’ll always remember. Kudos to Casey the bartender for genuine hospitality. Give that girl a raise!

Had a great experience at Counter Culture while visiting Tampa. Menu was consice and had a lot of good options, making it hard to choose. Tried the tuna tartar and artichoke apps with the short rib main. All were great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Also had some interesting and well made cocktails.

I’ve had brunch here so that convinced me to come for dinner, that’s was a mistake. First let me start by saying the staff is super friendly and nice. My problem is with the food. If you ask for peanut butter and someone brought you butter with peanut pieces how would you feel ? (I am referring to the pistachio butter). The entire menu is like that. The bread with the burrata was left on the grill to long so burnt where it touched the grill, the corn and crab dish is in the wrong plate so it spills on the table and is a lot of corn for quite a small bit of crab. The lettuce bite is legit just a piece of lettuce cut in half with beets and dressing on top. If it said wedge salad I would understand and not order that but the descriptions are long and useless. The dates were the only good dish we had. We both got medium steaks, my girlfriends came well done and mine came rare. The kitchen took forever so we didn’t send back. The portions are also not listed so my girlfriends got 3 oz and I got 6 oz, Remember the terrible descriptions. We got a dessert and ordered three to try everything that’s looked unique. The oil was off or something because everything was fried and had an distinct oil taste I couldn’t shake. The donuts were dense and needed a jam filling not ricotta but I’m not a chef so take that with a grain of salt. The churro was good except the oil thing and the ube cream had nearly no flavor. The other best dish of the night was the carrot thing. It was honestly good and unique. But let me say again, the service was great I just hated nearly all the food.

As a returning patron with my bestie regulars, Lucas deserves a special shoutout for showering us with hospitable charm and superior service. The aperol surprise spritz presentation made a sparkling splash, thank you Lucas! The food is consistently fresh and fabulous. The management staff is effortlessly amiable and welcoming, always insuring that our experience is better than the next. “A+” for all of the above, and ambiance and atmosphere…a winning trifecta perfecta! See you very soon!

We went for dinner and started with oysters and shrimp, which were good. For the main course, I ordered the salmon. It was okay, though cooked to a medium doneness which wasn’t my preference. The drinks were just okay as well. The ambience wasn’t very cozy, more of an open dining area, but it looked clean. The service was good and attentive.
