if I had to choose where to get a good smash burger this would be it. over all of the places I’ve tried a hamburger this place really outdoes itself, when I first came in the atmosphere was relaxing and the music really just made me want to sit down and take it all in, id honestly just eat inside just to listen to the music lol, but as for the food I honestly would make this the #1 hamburger place to visit in california instead of in n out, cause it tasted super good and everything was well balanced and I absolutely loved the sauce they used, my only critique would be maybe making the fries a little bit more crispy and seasoned, but if definitely recommend coming here and eating! totally worth it

Ate here today as a quick bite and just to try something we hadn’t had before, In short- it was amazing. As soon as we walked in it did look a little empty, (seemed like they weren’t super busy when we went in) but we were quickly greeted by a polite young man who helped us place our order, i would like to note that $13 for a really really really good smash burger, fresh french fries that were perfectly crisp and a soda is probably the best price we have paid for a meal in ventura in so long, not to mention the size of the burger was probably as big as my face. The food was made fresh and quickly and brought to our table, we were offered a wide variety of condiments such as ketchup, ranch, mustard, etc. As soon as we saw the burgers we knew they would satisfy our craving. Honestly, Mr.chubbys is probably the best burger i have had in a VERY LONG TIME. So juicy and flavorful, not to mention their brioche buns were something out of my dreams. If you’re ever in Ventura and need a quick bite that was full you up and satisfy you, Mr. Chubbys smash burger is the place to go!

Decided to try out this new burger joint in the neighborhood. The food was so delicious and I’ll be back for more. So happy to have a small business to support so close to our neighborhood. I feel like if the word spreads they will be able to stay busy so let’s keep it going. They even have homemade Pickles at this store. Give it a try in person or even get takeout for the house if you live nearby. Welcome to the Westside.

Place was very clean. The burgers were good. I think they’re special fries with bacon jam, where my favorite, plenty of seating and fast service. I’m pretty sure they make their own pickles and they grind their own beef which I think is amazing. I wish they had a soda machine. $3 is a lot for a can. And it seems a little pricey $5 to upgrade to a combo and $10 for a smashburger but that being said, everything seemed very fresh. I like the arugula on the burgers

Mr. Chubby serves up some of the best burgers I’ve had in Ventura. I recently tried their double cheese smash burger combo, and it was fantastic! The fries were perfectly crispy, and the horchata was incredibly refreshing.
The staff was super friendly, and my order was prepared quickly and served piping hot. As a first responder, I appreciated the 25% discount.

Got just a normal cheese burger and fries. The meat was juicy and tasty. The lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion were nice and crisp. I loved the fries, they had a seasoned salt on them, so they weren’t bland. Overall it was a delicious burger with good service.

The burgers were delicious! We got cheeseburgers with bacon jam, which were heavy but so flavorful. I’d probably ask for the jam on the side next time and add as I go. The fancy fries were great also.
Parking is along the street, mostly near a quiet neighborhood area. We went a little later than lunchtime on a Sunday so no trouble finding parking.
