I was in the area with a buddy of mine. Our significant others were shopping in the next shopping center. It was about 2 PM in the afternoon (Saturday) and we saw Camilla’s on Blanco Rd and opted to stop in to get a quick beverage.

We entered, and it was fairly empty inside. We were quickly seated and given menus. We ordered 2 alcoholic beverages, beers, and when our server came back to take our order, we opted to tell her that we did NOT want anything to eat – which I did not think was a big deal. I also noticed that the closing time was 3 PM, and about that time the manager walked over and advised us that we would have to order a food item. I inquired why? and the response was, it had something to do with their Food and Beverage licensing along with the sale of alcohol. He suggested ordering the cheapest taco on the menu.

I ordered a chorizo & egg taco. It arrived, and I reviewed it. It tasted, okay. However, I’ve had better elsewhere in the city.

I give the restaurant high marks for their service, and the manager high marks for his honesty. The restaurant for its cleanliness, and bright colors. Maybe because it was close to closing time the food wasn’t quite up to par.

I look forward to stopping in at some time in the future to give them another chance at improving their food score.

On a positive note, the beer was cold !

I was in the area working today and dropped in through the drive thru for some tacos. It was easy to order the the employee was helpful.

2/27/26 went to buy beef fajita tacos and was shocked at the $5 price for meat and tortilla. I just bought one and kept it moving.

Always come here for our breakfast tacos, the carne guisada taco add cheese always hits the spot with their sweeeeeeet tea! Meat is always tender and the tortillas soft!!!

Of course you can’t go wrong with their bean and cheese add bacon!

I will be back to try their happy hour and margaritas.

From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff greeted us and led us to a bright table. The tacos were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had – the corn tortillas were perfectly warm and the fillings were flavorful. The fresh salsa and creamy guacamole complemented each bite, and the live mariachi added an authentic Mexican vibe that made the evening feel festive. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, ideal for a family friendly restaurant. We also tried a couple of enchiladas and they were just as good. I’ll definitely be back for more and recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.

I’ve eaten here multiple times for breakfast and a few times during Happy Hour. Pure and simple comfort food that is well priced. Their frozen margaritas are delicious as is their Botana plate. They also have an Al La Cart menu which is easy on the pocket book. The service can be slow because this place is packed on Sunday morning hence the 4 stars.
Edit: I had lunch here last Sunday and tried the tortilla soup. It definitely was delicious and hearty although it was more like caldo. It also came with sliced avocado and fried tortilla strips. I had the large bowl which actually made two meals! My son had the chilaquilla omelette and said it was very good too, and my granddaughter always has bean and cheese tacos which she said are delicious at Camila’s.
Update: A friend and I were craving Mexican food after the solar eclipse . We both had the Fiesta Enchilada Plate which included a chicken enchilada with green sauce, a cheese enchilada and a chicken mole’ enchilada. It was served with rice, beans and a salad. Tea was included as well. We opted for the happy hour frozen margaritas; raspberry and mango. The food was delicious and plentiful so we both skipped dinner that day. This plate isn’t on the menu so I believe it’s an April special as fiesta is just around the corner. Delicious food and delicious drinks, so come and enjoy!
