We entered, and it was fairly empty inside. We were quickly seated and given menus. We ordered 2 alcoholic beverages, beers, and when our server came back to take our order, we opted to tell her that we did NOT want anything to eat – which I did not think was a big deal. I also noticed that the closing time was 3 PM, and about that time the manager walked over and advised us that we would have to order a food item. I inquired why? and the response was, it had something to do with their Food and Beverage licensing along with the sale of alcohol. He suggested ordering the cheapest taco on the menu.
I ordered a chorizo & egg taco. It arrived, and I reviewed it. It tasted, okay. However, I’ve had better elsewhere in the city.
I give the restaurant high marks for their service, and the manager high marks for his honesty. The restaurant for its cleanliness, and bright colors. Maybe because it was close to closing time the food wasn’t quite up to par.
I look forward to stopping in at some time in the future to give them another chance at improving their food score.
On a positive note, the beer was cold !
2/27/26 went to buy beef fajita tacos and was shocked at the $5 price for meat and tortilla. I just bought one and kept it moving.
Of course you can’t go wrong with their bean and cheese add bacon!
I will be back to try their happy hour and margaritas.
Edit: I had lunch here last Sunday and tried the tortilla soup. It definitely was delicious and hearty although it was more like caldo. It also came with sliced avocado and fried tortilla strips. I had the large bowl which actually made two meals! My son had the chilaquilla omelette and said it was very good too, and my granddaughter always has bean and cheese tacos which she said are delicious at Camila’s.
Update: A friend and I were craving Mexican food after the solar eclipse . We both had the Fiesta Enchilada Plate which included a chicken enchilada with green sauce, a cheese enchilada and a chicken mole’ enchilada. It was served with rice, beans and a salad. Tea was included as well. We opted for the happy hour frozen margaritas; raspberry and mango. The food was delicious and plentiful so we both skipped dinner that day. This plate isn’t on the menu so I believe it’s an April special as fiesta is just around the corner. Delicious food and delicious drinks, so come and enjoy!
