The tamales here are great and served hot as heck! Call ahead is recommended, and she only takes cash, then ring the doorbell and bam! Hot tamales. Be aware, ask for the prices…a dozen of pork was 11 bucks….Prices in reviews and photos are not updated. The tamales are great, like Gramma used to make. Found it very favorable amoung the people who trust food they love. Well known around the city and upper valley but this place makes great taste tamales in different category selection for better services need to call ahead and order this is wise to do so. Prices had gone up but the enjoyment of meeting this family and taking the ride for pick up you will know it will be worth your while. This tamales are flavored delicious good. Come on your own risk. This is my favorite place to buy tamales in Brownsville. The texture of the masa is just right and the meat (I prefer chicken) is seasoned just right. The lady I interacted with on the phone and in person was very courteous and professional.
