My family is from Michigan and they love seafood, but we have been going broke trying to find just the right place out here in Boston. I insist on high quality, delicious food, and my dad insists on a friendly, casual, comfortable atmosphere. Shaking Seafood met and raised the bar. The food is soulful and fresh, staff is friendly and efficient, and you can get a craveable fried scallop basket for 13 dollars!! Go here, eat all the seafood, this place is a gem.

I went there yesterday with my lady (2/19/26) and the portions were nice , the two things I had a problem was they got my order wrong and they overcharged my card. The bill was about $120 so I gave a cash tip . But today I got a notification from my bank of $140 . So just be careful going here

The Seafood joint hit the spot.. if your looking to grab you a bite of delicious shrimp with crab legs .. check them out .. dine in service on a Monday was quiet .. notice they have an abundance of Uber takeout orders so you know they’re good.. check them out We did and we were satisfied.

went with a friend around 2 weeks ago. ive gone plenty of times before and the food ALWAYS varies. it’ll either be very fresh, steaming hot, perfectly seasoned or the crab legs will still have barnacles on them and feel very flimsy due to them boiling for too long. it will also sometimes be way too salty or the spice level doesn’t accurately reflect what you asked for. when it comes to service, there is 1 waitress in particular that absolutely hates her job and isn’t shy of showing it. ive had her every time ive gone and i still don’t know her name because she never introduces herself when serving. she throws your items on the table and rushes you to order. when my friends and i chose to not tip her due to her bad service, she confronted us and attempted to guilt trip us by saying that’s how she “makes her money”. my opinion? don’t get a waitress job if you know you won’t have the right attitude for it.

Great seafood spot with amazing fresh seafood! Price to portions is on point and then service is very nice and attentive. Kids menu had a nice selection of items and portions again was very nice.
Decor is minimalistic but still inviting and the bathrooms were very clean too! All social distancing protocols were in place and they politely asked everyone who walked in the door to get their temperature checked and to sanitize their hands as well.
The food : clam chowder was delicious: lots of clam meat with a thick creamy sauce and some potatoes. Fried shrimp were battered not too thick and the boiled seafood in a bag came with your choice of sauce and heat level. I like that they offered plastic gloves to eat with too!
All in all the experience was great for this family of four and we l forward to visiting again soon!

I’ve dined @ this location about the same amount of times to the # of fingers I have, & I like this place!!! Good service, family friendly establishment, decor is simple & promotes the theme, great lighting & open space, the food…… gooood. If Jenny’s around, she’ll make sure you have a great experience, just like the other staffs.
If you want to feel like an addict to food, when selecting the sauce to your order, get the shaking sauce/& double the amount, along with your level of spicy. Thank me later, the 19 others did & they are now addicts.

Do not ever eat here!! This restaurant gave me FOOD POISONING. Under any circumstances, never eat here. My husband and I ate dinner at this restaurant last night and shared a seafood boil. I ate the mussels and he did not. A few hours later, I began vomiting and have not stopped for 10 hours. Not to mention, we’re on vacation so my FOOD POISONING from this restaurant has caused to miss a whole day of vacation.

Greeted by staff member when we arrived. Seated quickly and Great service and not crowded on a Friday evening. Excellent prices as well and doggie bag to go home. We were given a small gift when we were leaving a key chain with their name, phone number, and address. What a lovely gesture for new customers.
