Very cute decor. They offer delightfully puffy homemade taco shells and house-smoked meats. We ordered a Hippie Taco Salad with spice-braised ground beef, a Northern Gringo and Rancher Beans to go. The food was cooked to order and quite delicious! Very authentic. Service was quick and staff was helpful. Definitely make this a stop in Grand Marais or Duluth.

If you are looking for something delicious and quick (weekdays) for lunch this is the place. The tacos are made with a fry bread taco shell. I had the regular taco with the house smoked brisket ($4 extra) and my wife had the Northern Gringo made with spiced ground beef. Both were excellent. This was our second time and we would definitely go back again. Easy walking distance from most points of interest in Grand Marias.

Food was good, menu has changed in options over the years (you can get the chili in Duluth but not GM), and the wait we had in a Thursday was long as they were really busy. Would go again, make sure you have time.

Delicious!!! They have such a great variety of tacos, nachos, and other great choices. We had the pineapple express on Flatbread and the pork and chicken tacos on corn tortillas. The atmosphere was so cute. We ate glad we saw this place. Definitely stop here!

Seriously one of the best things I’ve ever had in my mouth! That’s not even an exaggeration! I had the Space Ranger and my husband had the Grateful Pig. These fry bread tacos are so huge you have to keep them tangled in the aluminum foil blanket to eat them. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Grand Marais!!

There was a lot of people visiting but the service was spot on. They were friendly and quick. The menu was small, which is good. The place is small, yet warm and fun inside. There is an outdoor area which is comfortable. The food was delicious. Only rated it a four, yet would have rated it a 4 1/2 only because it is not something you can travel with take out for too long. The saratcha maple cheese curds were delightful. Not too hot and full of flavor. The tacos were equally delicious, yet with the flavorful juices, made the shell a little soggy. Why this should really be eaten in house. I would definitely go there again.

While camping the north shore, we stopped in for lunch, and I was so glad we did. We all ordered the taco salad with different proteins. The beef taco bowl did not have lettuce, but that was quickly rectified with the amazing team they have. I definitely recommend stopping in the Hungry Hippie Tacos if you are near Grand Marais.
