Incredible place located right off the U St. metro. Some of the best white wine I’ve had in a long time and the bartenders always have incredible recommendations. Ambiance is fantastic, great happy hour, and just an overall incredible place to hang out, catch up with friends, and have a great glass of wine. 10/10 place!!

Great service and ambiance for this wine bar. The outdoor seating is limited but nicely spaced out for social distancing. Wines are 45+ for bottles but taste good. They even have mosquito sprays and sunscreens. How thoughtful!

Come here all the time. The staff knows me by name and always has recommendations for new wines to try. They also offer special events like wine tastings and once a month they do a drag queen hosted trivia night with prizes. The menu is geared to be well paired with wines. 5/5. Love Barkada. Best spot in DC for natural wines.

Despite the amazing wine list and happy hour, this place was empty on a weekday which means my girlfriend and I could jam out on the playlist and the bartenders crafted wine flights that fit our tastes perfectly. A great array of interesting and unexpected wines. This is our new go-to spot.

I recently contracted with Barkada to host my husband’s 70th. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my guests. I have received many compliments from those attending, on the venue and the food—which was excellent and more than ample for a party of 24. I found the cost of the event to be very reasonable. I highly recommend Barkada for a simple quiet evening for two, or for your event planning.
