I ordered the steak, cheese, and mushroom sub. It was served in a foam container instead of the Hungry Howie’s original sub box with all the toppings (peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, and tomatoes) placed in a ziplock bag on the side even though I didn’t ask for toppings on the side. Presentation was sloppy and careless. The food wasn’t good but it was edible. If you’re thinking about going to this location I would pick a different location.

I have become a “regular” customer. Since day one, I’ve had a positive experience. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. I visit at least once or twice a week. I’m always ordering the twenty piece wings, and they are delicious.

I love Hungry Howie. First time I had it was in Tampa. So i decided to try it back at home in Jacksonville. My first order made me question if i selected a flavored crust. Did not taste no where near to what i had in Tampa. 2nd time i ordered it again and realized whoever makes the pizza there is lazy to add my flavored crust. Worst food ever! Cheesy bread was mush not cooked all the way but the outside was burnt! Never got any of our sauces even when we called back to tell them we didn’t get sauces! We love Hungry Howes but this was the worst ever!

I had a pepperoni Duo, not a bad pizza at all. I’m still a papa John’s guy but this is not bad at all. I tend to like my dough a little crispy, theirs was more soft but I did enjoy the crust. Tasted more like garlic bread towards the end.

Best pizza ever. FAST forward 2022. I’m heartbroken, small franchises lost the decent employees that had standards and that took pride in themselves and the food they were providing. Post covid employees are rude, unprofessional and are detrimental to the success of this business. They understand the that the owner has to hire them because of the labor shortage. Good luck to the owner and God bless. PAPA JOHNS here I come. 🙁

DO NOT GET FOOD FROM THEM!! I don’t know why I keep giving them chance after change. The employees are very rude with 0 customer service skills. I called in today to place a order of 2 pizza subs. They usually repeat the order but she didn’t. She clearly did NOT want to be there. I knew something was off when she told me the price. I went there to pick the food and she hand me two small pizzas . Not only that they messed up my order but $22 for two small pizzas? No thanks.. so I went back at first I wanted my order to be remade but what I actually ordered. But when she give me so much attitude I change my mind and asked for a refund.. than I went at blaze pizza in river city which it’s better than hungry howies anyways. I can’t spend my money somewhere when I’m treated bad as a customer. Just look at the blaze pizza it’s so good I will do Bussiness with them from now on. Never again hungry howies.. whoever it’s responsible for this store needs to do a better job on hiring people .. and not just hiring anyone off the streets with no customer service skills no nothing. She was very very rude so I did the same

Paid $22 for an $11 pizza that was COVERED IN ANTS! Backstory: My son loves Howie’s pizza and we’ve ordered from them quite a few times, however, the service is horrible. Recently, I ordered a pizza to be delivered through their site. After not receiving the order for over 2 hours, I was going to head to the store. When I opened my door I saw a pizza sitting on the ground. I picked up the box and it was filled with ants and cold. The pizza had been sitting outside for sometime. I headed to the store to discuss the manner and encountered Meagan, supposedly a manager. Megan was rude and extremely unprofessional. She told me to take it up with door dash even tho I ordered through them and paid THEM a $6.99 delivery charge. I don’t have a DoorDash account as I’ve never used DoorDash. I can’t file a complaint without logging into DoorDash. Howie’s pizza has an affiliation with them. Megan was extremely dismissive and did not try to help with a resolution at all. Prior to this incident I’ve gone into the store, stood at the front and had been completely ignored by the staff for 15+mins. No greeting. No “we’ll be with you in a moment” ..nothing. Acted as if I wasn’t there at all. The ONLY reason I continued to order was because my little boy loved their pizza for some reason. Pizza was not good and place is dirty and workers look unsanitary. We just ordered and prayed over the food smh. Not anymore, never coming back.

I filed a complaint with corporate, they have yet to respond to me. The store just took my money and never issued a refund. They commented on my review as a performative act, they have no intention of rectifying the issue. Order at your own risk. Customer service is HORRIBLE!
