The reserve wine list leans heavily toward California producers. It would be nice to see more variety, maybe a few more Old World options beyond the lone Friuli Pinot Grigio. We chose the 2023 Daou Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, which delivered bold dark fruit flavors and a hint of bell pepper, with a long finish.
We started with The District’s Burrata, served with fresh tomatoes, basil oil, and 10-year balsamico. Our server suggested adding ciabatta, and it made all the difference. The burrata itself was perfectly creamy with a delicate knot on top, rich yet balanced by the acidity of the tomatoes and balsamic.
For entrees, we both had the Filet au Poivre, seared in cast iron with a pepper crust, port wine demi-glace, whipped potatoes, and vegetables. It was cooked exactly medium rare, tender enough to cut with a fork, and absolutely delicious.
We spent just over $200, so this is definitely a special occasion spot, and worth it. My only suggestions for improvement: upgrade the glassware to something more fitting of the wine list, and if possible, address the noise from the bar to make the dining room feel a bit more refined.
All in all, a great experience: excellent food, attentive service, and a stylish space that’s easy to recommend for date nights or celebrations.
The blacked redfish with crawfish was insanely delicious and perfectly prepared. I usually like it a bit spicier, but the flavors were outstanding. The filet au pouvire my wife had was perfectly prepared, and you can’t possibly go wrong with that.
Our server was just fantastic, handled our party of 10 with ease. 10/10 will return!
The food menu looks spectacular, with dishes that appear absolutely delicious, though the prices are on the higher side. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I definitely plan to return to see if the flavors match the presentation.
The service was excellent, especially the bartender who served us…she was very kind and attentive. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot if you’re in the area and want to enjoy some good drinks in a great atmosphere.
We will definitely come back and make reservations and look fwd to trying the redfish nawlins.
Our waitress Natalie was wonderful and did help us out as best she could.
I had the spiked blueberry lemonade and my husband had a mango beer and both drinks were delicious.
We had the shrimp dip and it was perfect.
My husband had the trout and that was perfection…everything in that plate was tasty and cooked perfectly
I had the filet mignon, I ordered it medium well and I know is difficult to cook a filet mignon than way because is a thick cut…. But they bunt it, so the meat had a little burnt crust that tasted like charcoal….. I was hungry and I didn’t want to complain so I just took the crust out and eat it…. It was delicious without that.
