Food was decent, small portions for the high price! I know everything is expensive now, but it isnt because of the upkeep or facility. Do not think anything has been updated or cleaned since the 60’s. Food tasted good staff was friendly when you saw them. Just dont look up at the filth hanging from the ceilings!

The service was exemplary as they were just getting ready for their nightly business-open 4p-8p Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Atmosphere was friendly and you can feel the “family” in family business. Nice break from the “corporate” hum drum you find in many places. I will definitely be back. Give this place a try when you are in the area- you will not be disappointed and your expectations will be exceeded! Thank you Mulkey’s!

I’ve been a loyal customer at Mulkey’s for years, and it’s hands down one of the best family-owned restaurants in the Quad Cities! The food is always fantastic, and you can feel the love and care they put into every dish. I highly recommend the Henny Penny chicken, it’s a must-try! The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the hot turkey sandwich is a classic favorite. Also, don’t miss the stuffed green pepper, it’s absolutely delicious! I’ve never had a bad experience here, and it’s definitely a Quad Cities staple. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Wasn’t lunch time but my daughter is pregnant and she wanted lunch. They accommodated us with no issues and the food was great! I recommend their ribs ❤

Dined in. Seems like an old outdated family restaurant and the decor shows it. The food that should have been in the back was sitting on the breakfast bar area uncovered.. coleslaw should be refrigerated.. was on the bar, side salad in a large tub on the bar.. very unappealing.
I saw that AFTER we ate or I would have left immediately! Food was cold, chicken seemed reheated. Seems over priced for what you get. Not a good menu selection. Only plus is the rolls are good. The photo is the henney penny chicken 2pc dinner. Comes with your choice of potatoes, fries, baked or mashed and 1 other which was applesauce, coleslaw or soup for 10.99. Will not be returning.

Website said they were open so we drive all the way here. We walk in and the man tells us that it’s carryout only. They had a full seating area. I can’t believe he let customers walk out of the door. My friend and I were talking about how if anything a place could say well we don’t have service but you’re welcome to eat at a table. I don’t know but we walked out. They don’t seem very interested in serving anyone. He also could have suggested let me get you a carryout order I’ll give you a 10% discount or something but instead they chose to lose business.

There was 3 tables seated including ours. Waitress didn’t bring us silverware we had to ask the other waitress. Waitress didn’t fill our drinks, we again had to ask the other waitress. I got fried chicken, it was ok in the sense that it wasn’t dry, its only flavor was grease. My kids got chicken tenders and they were so hard that they couldn’t bite into them. The rest of the food had absolutely ZERO flavor! Not a single speck of seasoning was used. I was highly disappointed all around since everything came with a pretty high price tag I was expecting the food to at least have more flavor and better quality than the hospital cafeteria.

I recently moved into the neighborhood and re-discovered Mulkey’s. I had dined there many years ago and always enjoyed the place. It is still exactly as I remember it: great food, excellent service!
Not having any way to prepare meals at my new home, my roommate and I have relied on Mulkey’s quite often in this time of retrieving our belongings in storage. The waitresses, both day and night, are the most pleasant and most efficient in town! I believe a few of them have been at Mulkey’s for quite a few years because they know how to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. We’ve been there a few times in the past 30 days and have absolutely no complaints!

Today is the last day for dine eat. So sorry that another mom and pop restaurant is closing. Lots of really great memories and even better meals with family and friends. Thanks for all your hard work and being such a big part of our community. Had dinner with my son Thursday night, didn’t take long to fill every seat to be filled.
