Sancho’s Taqueria is an authentic Mexican eatery with three locations and a mobile taco truck in the San Francisco Peninsula. Good restaurant to get in, get your burrito and get out.
If the weather is nice, you could sit out and have your lunch right there.

Calling all vegans and vegetarians: this is the best veggie burrito in town! Ask for a super veggie (without cream/cheese); that’s how you’d get the best vegan meal in Palo Alto! Fish tacos are also great for the fish lover. I’ve been coming to this one and the one downtown for over 30 years. Never once gotten sick. They always have the games on… Nice to know some things never change!! -Jaime

Good flavors, and they don’t skimp on quality or quantity. Carnitas was just the right tenderness. Chicken was a pass. Hot sauce is not hot – I guess you need to get extra hot if you really want something spicy. Counter staff guy might need no polish up his personality a bit. He may not be clear on some hospitality ground rules.
Nice that they have shady patios both in front and back of the restaurant.

The food is just okay, not good. There aren’t many Mexican restaurants in Palo Alto, but you are better off taking the drive to San Jose where you can find a hundred better trucks and taco spots

delicious fish tacos. so much fish. more fish than u could ever expect. gave us more chips when we asked saw a dog with a big butt (dog is not affiliated with sanchos dont come expecting to see the dog)

Outside of the very generous portions, the food is no memorable at all. I ordered a combo plate of Chile relleno and green enchilada with grilled chicken. The chicken in the enchilada was seasoned and cooked very well but was outweighed by the lackluster everything else. Price for food quantity is good, but based on this one dish, would not order again.

When I come here, I’m here for the fish tacos. They’re super tasty. Tried the quesabirrias the other day and they’re great, too!
Downside is that it’s cash only. I don’t always have that much cash on me and the price of eating out catches me off guard a lot these days.
