Loved loved loved this first night to try the first à la carte menu at Étoile. I was so glad to see they brought out favorites from their tasting menu with larger portions! It is a really nice experience to see what we will be offered when we try the tasting menu on the weekend. The staff is top notch and the space is so open and gorgeous. The cocktail menu is well thought out and creative. The wines are all small family owned and beautiful. My new favorite place for a quick date night with my husband!

Etoile is one of the best (and under the radar) meals in New Orleans. A farm-to-table concept, where each farm that sources products for the meal is identified on the menu via a map of Louisiana. The fixed-course menu is expertly executed and paired with a French-focused wine pairing. Set in a historic home with a fireplace and high ceilings, the main dining room is simply gorgeous. This was our second time to Etoile and each experience was fantastic. Highly recommended!

I was invited to a dinner at Etoile last night, and I had to come on here today to rave about this restaurant.
The passion and care that they put into the atmosphere, service, and food; is the best I’ve ever experienced.
I follow a gluten and dairy-free diet, and the care they took in accommodating me, was so appreciated!! Even going as far as bringing me my own portion of fresh, made from scratch, gluten-free bread
Everything here is made fresh, all from local farms. I don’t have many pictures, because I didn’t want to ruin the lovely experience, with taking pictures of food.
Every bite was intentional and delicious. I loved the way the server gave us a description of every plate. The cocktails are beautiful, everyone was amazing, and I could go on and on.
Thank you so much for making this a stress-free, wonderful meal!

What an amazing night and experience! If you’re looking to make zero decisions and have an amazing meal, this is definitely the place. Chef Chris has curated an enjoyable tasting menu that allows you to experience each course in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. The food focuses on French cooking techniques and sourcing from local farms as much as possible. It was a beautiful balance. For example, the Seared Red Snapper tonight was paired with a fried egg and crispy okra – providing a fabulous balance of flavors and textures. The chef also makes a point to come out and check on guests throughout the coursing. The rest of the staff are personable and make sure you have an amazing experience. When I return to NOLA, I will definitely be back.

Every so often, you discover a place that is truly special. Last year, we found Eioile, and we have been recommending it to friends ever since. We returned again this year, and the experience was equally as special. The menu is exceptionally thoughtful, with the chef sourcing ingredients from local farms and purveyors, which is evident in every dish.
Beyond the outstanding cuisine, the service is what truly sets this restaurant apart. The staff creates an atmosphere that makes each guest feel genuinely valued and welcome. My husband and I have been visiting New Orleans for many years, and Eioile is, without question, the finest dining experience on the scene today.
Thank you, Chef, for sharing your creativity, passion, and love of cooking with all of us.

Etoile is a restaurant that deserves to be experienced. I arrived skeptical and left genuinely impressed. The food and service were exquisite, and the French wine pairings were unexpectedly creative yet perfectly matched to each course. The team’s passion shines through in every detail, from the thoughtful execution to the enchanting historic home. I especially loved Etoile’s true farm-to-table philosophy and commitment to minimizing food waste. Their dedication is exceptional, and we look forward to dining at Etoile again soon.

Overall, Etoile was fantastic. I dined here with my family for my birthday and the chef came out occasionally to ask us about the food and let us know how he made some dishes. I wasn’t expecting to get full, but the timed portions made the meal filling overtime as well as palette satisfying. The dessert was good, needs a bit more flare to it though. I recommend coming here.

This place has lots of positives that should be celebrated, but it wasn’t a perfect meal. The atmosphere is fantastic. They did a great job converting this old home on Magazine into a restaurant. The bar is beautiful. The light fixtures are fantastic. The food was delicious, too. Everything we had through entrees was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The caviar with quail egg was amazing. The fish and root chips was perfectly executed. The catfish was great. Dessert was a bit of a disappointment, unfortunately. I got one of the dessert cocktails that made mention of banana. It was astringently bitter and very off putting; a fat cry from the previous drinks I’d had that were so good. The wife got an espresso martini. It was fine, but nothing to remember. The desserts were just ok. They presented well, but didn’t deliver. One thing I think needs a bit of attention is the service. Did we get bad service? No. Not at all. It’s just that it wasn’t polished, and in some instances, seemed to be a little too nonchalant. Seems like a silly critique, except that when you’re spending several hundred on a meal for two, then you expect everything to be dialed in and sharp. It wasn’t.
Would I go back? Absolutely. And I think it’s 100% worth you visiting. I just want to be completely honest with my review. We take our restaurants seriously here in New Orleans.

What an amazing, thoughtful, and tasteful experience at Etoile! Kat, the bartender was so charming and informative of the new tasting menu that is happening starting today! Get yourself over there for a cocktail and small plates. Everything is farm-to-table, locally-made or in-house. The cheeses were incredible that are made in house. The passionfruit sour cocktail was divine.
There is even a lovely local cat with a cute bowtie that matches the interior that comes around outside.
Big ups! This place was a perfect outing. No reservations needed. Thanks for the unforgettable experience!

An amazingly personalized restaurant experience. The chef came out to talk to every table and before the meal to set the stage for what the experience should be like (we are taken care of, no decision paralysis, just great food and comforting setting). It was a fantastic night. They also were super accommodating for dietary preference so let them know in advance and they can accommodate it. Would highly recommend!
It’s also literally in a house and you can go explore the rooms before your meal. Very unique.
