From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale yet warm. The service is exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed.
The steaks are cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and incredibly tender. You can taste the quality in every bite. The sides are just as memorable—generous portions, beautifully presented, and meant to be shared. The seafood options and appetizers are equally impressive, making it hard to choose just one highlight.
To top it off, the cocktail and wine selection is thoughtfully curated and pairs perfectly with the menu. Steak 48 sets the standard for a high-end steakhouse: refined, consistent, and worth every visit.
Highly recommended for special occasions or when you simply want an unforgettable meal.

If you want it shorter, more casual, or extra luxurious/poetic, tell me and I’ll tailor it to your style. ✨
The 28-day aged steaks were cooked to perfection, and every side dish was beautifully prepared and flavorful. Our server, Bryce, was not only attentive and kind but also very charming.
We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely return for future special occasions. Thank you, Steak 48 Del Mar, for making our celebrations so memorable!
Angela eventually stepped in and was attentive, but the initial neglect set the tone.
Food:
• Australian Wagyu Ribeye & Filet (8/10) – Quality cuts, under-seasoned.
• Corn Crème Brûlée , popcorn shrimp and pork belly (10/10) – Excellent.
• House Bread (1/10) – Major miss due to the popcorn flavor and mushy dough.
Service matters as much as food. We won’t be returning.
From the complimentary bread to the final sip, everything was on point. We went to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday — he’s a huge fan of the place — and I totally get why. The ambiance, service, and every single dish were worthy of the occasion.
It was my first time at this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We were welcomed with a warm skillet bread, freshly baked and buttery as can be. We devoured it. To kick things off, we ordered a couple of Aperol Spritz, perfectly balanced and super refreshing. Just the right mood-setter.
For starters, we had the Pacific Yellowtail Hamachi (the one in the photo) and the Rhode Island Calamari & Shrimp — which didn’t even last long enough for a picture. Both were light and beautifully prepared, letting the quality of the ingredients shine.
For the main course, my wife and I shared a roasted beet salad and a 45-Day Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye (22oz) cooked medium to medium-well… and wow. Flavor, texture, marbling, seasoning, fat — everything was on point. We added a side of truffle butter for the steak and some unforgettable mac & cheese.
The food was so good we didn’t even leave room for dessert. We just wrapped it all up with an espresso martini that hit the spot.
Steak 48 Del Mar is one of those spots where everything adds up: top-tier service, classy-yet-relaxed ambiance, and a kitchen that overdelivers. No doubt, we’ll be back.
From start to finish, the experience was dialed in. Every item my colleagues and I ordered was cooked to perfection, and we genuinely enjoyed everything that hit the table. The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, and it shows in the consistency and execution.
We didn’t make it to the dessert bar this time, but honestly, even watching it from nearby felt like its own experience. The presentation, the pace, the craftsmanship—everything coming out looked seriously tempting and made it obvious we’ll need a round two just for that.
The restaurant itself is excellent: dim lighting, a polished vibe, and—crucially—not overly loud. It felt upscale but still comfortable, like you can actually have a conversation and enjoy the moment.
Overall, a wonderful experience and absolutely on my shortlist for top steak spots. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.
The fork sinking in? That’s a universal sign of fluffy, melt in your mouth decadence. This isn’t just bread. This is the kind of bread that steals the spotlight from the main dish and has everyone hovering around it like. Everyone needs to try this bread.
