My husband and I were in town for the tractor pull but it was canceled due to weather. I knew my husband was disappointed so I went to Google to find a good Mexican restaurant. He loves Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. Our food was phenomenal! I had the chicken and shrimp(pictured) and he had a combo platter. We live in metro Atlanta so it might be Winford we can come back but I wish I could eat there tonight!

We go here very often because of the service and food. Last night I had an El Grande Burrito. So delicious and always get their guacamole. I like their hot salsa just ask for it as it doesn’t come with the chips and salsa.

When I went through the drive through, I had ordered my family 3 burritos. What we got was a thin layer of beans, it looked like a tostada with a bunch of lettuce and cheese and toppings, but no fillings, we did eat the food and the food cost us $32, then as I was about to pull off and leave, he says, oh no tip in the drive thru, I was very disappointed with this place, we will not be Coming back, the service is very inconsistent The food is like a hit and missed type of thing.The portions are not even what they should be!

Truly sad to see how awful of a job they did today. I have been there before it was amazing. Today however service was terrible they forgot about about the drinks we ordered. The waiter was extremely rude he gave us dirty looks the entire time. Food was very disappointing portions were extremely small and had no flavor. Would not recommend and will not be going back!

Coming from the West Coast it’s hard to find quality, authentic Mexican food. This place is hands down the best by far. Really surprised me because they were not very busy! Real flavor in the refried beans, the Chicken Special was incredible! The salsas all handmade with fresh ingredients. Probably the best salsa I’ve ever had. Best Carnitas I have had in years. Insanely inexpensive for the quality of food you’re getting. Restaurant was very clean. Toddler chairs new and clean. Waitress and hostess were the best.

Food comes out right, hot, and as ordered. Some of the best house spicy salsa I’ve had. Would have given a 5 if the service was a little faster. Sat with no chips for quite some time, I could hear the employees having a good ol’ time but not giving the service as one would expect.

We always come here on Tuesday nights with the family. It’s one of if not the best Mexican restaurant in town. They’ve never burnt the chicken or anything here and almost never have a huge crowd inside. Is a tad more expensive than the square but not by much. At times can be a little too hot and need more AC but other than that we love coming. He basically knows what drinks and food we already want lol

First time visiting El Maguey restaurant. Wife and I both thought our food was very good and the beer was cold. Service was good as well. Manager came by twice to make sure everything was being taken care of. This will be our go to for Mexican food going forward.
