Really nice spot with fun music, good drinks, & great food. This is a top rated Hatian spot & it truly didn’t disappoint. We loved the way the food is seasoned & spiced, & our drinks were tasty. They have daily specials that are worth trying, so you can taste more. The restaurant lives up to its name.

I’ve been to Pearl of the Island Cuisine & Lounge for brunch before, and this time I went back for the nighttime vibe to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. There was a bit of a wait outside, and while I understand crowd control, it did feel like security could have let more people in since there seemed to be space inside.
The music and vibe was really good, the DJ set the tone perfectly, and between the hookah and little games like Connect Four and checkers at the tables, it felt playful and social. It’s definitely more on the darker side inside, which adds to the lounge feel.
The Haitian food was good and nicely plated, and I genuinely love seeing a Haitian sit-down spot offering a more elevated experience while still keeping a fun, welcoming vibe. It made for a great night out celebrating with family.

From the food to the outstanding personable service (by Alexia) my first time experience at this establishment will definitely not be the last. My griot was fried perfectly and was portioned in a great balance of fatty and meaty portions. You really can’t beat haitian rice and Pearl of the Island surely delivered! I was also delighted to experience the mango margarita, and this has to be in my top 5 of my margaritas all time list!!

Be careful if you make a catering order. I placed a $380 deposit for a $760 order. I called and placed the order with a staff member a month prior. She confirmed the order and payment via text. The day of the event, I called to confirm the pick up, they had no record of the order. They asked me to call the other location. Then placed the blame on me for not confirming earlier. If you order furniture the store calls to confirm, if you book a hair appointment with a deposit, the place of business sends notice to confirm either via text or email. So why can’t a restaurant, a place of business do the same? I could hear the staff speaking poorly of me while on hold waiting for the manager. Who then told me that my all most $800 order was nothing( a passive aggressive comment). This entire ordeal lasted 35 mins on the phone. I will never consider them again for catering nor will I recommend them. They are not yet up to standards for such things.
Thank God Natalie was extremely helpful in rectifying the issue. The food over all was good but sadly the service overshadowed that.

The food was ok Griot fried to hard, this place is more like a club the MUSIC was extremely loud almost blowed my ear drums you can’t hear the waitress are the party you’re with. The dj was asked multiple times to turn down the music in will only last a minute before he raise the volume up again. The last time we asked the waitress could they lower the music she had a whole attitude and came back to the table with take out trays and the machine to pay, we were still eating at this point but we were happy to get the heck out of there. I will not recommend this place or visit it again. And the brunch had been sitting out in the open uncovered since 1pm so that mean it was cooked around 10am we got there around 5pm and the food was still sitting out that was going to be out first choice until we learned of the time.
