I feel incredibly lucky to have Kaleo’s Bar and Grill right here in Orchidland! This place has become my go-to spot, and for good reason.
The atmosphere is perfect with both indoor and outdoor seating options. I can choose my vibe depending on the day. Whether I want to enjoy the beautiful Hawaii weather outside or relax in the comfortable indoor space, they’ve got me covered.
Now let’s talk about the food – it’s consistently outstanding! Their coffee is excellent (perfect for starting the day), and the New York Steaks are cooked to perfection. The Brie Salad is a delightful combination of flavors (I like to add shrimp), and their burgers are absolutely delicious. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing and the portions are generous.
It’s such a treat to have a quality restaurant like this so close to my neighborhood. The whole experience – from the ambiance to the food – makes Kaleo’s a place I keep coming back to. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike!

Loved the exposed eating experience. On a rainy evening, the temps were perfect to sit in this covered but open establishment. I got the special mozzarella cheese for an app. Others got crispy pork belly and spring rolls. All were very happy. My entree was the blackened ahi with pineapple salsa. That was very good! Again, all seemed pretty happy with their food. Service was quick and attentive. Great spot to dine in Keaau!

Really lovely waitstaff, great ambiance with live music, and the outdoor (covered) seating arrangement meant such a wonderful breeze while dining. And of course the food was delicious. Would highly recommend on this side of the island!

We had such a wonderful experience at Kaleo’s Bar & Grill! Our server, Pulelehua K, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. She came to our table with such a warm, shining light personality that immediately made us feel comfortable and welcomed.
One of our guests needed gluten-free options, and Pulelehua was incredibly helpful—she guided us through the choices and even brought out their separate gluten-free menu, which made things so easy and stress-free.
The food itself was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Combined with the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere, Kaleo’s is definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.

Ate here twice. Both times the staff was very friendly and helpful. Service is very quick, food was great, and all the employees seem to be happy. I noticed the manager on our first visit, he definitely leads by example. Delivering menus, water, and helped bus tables. I highly recommend that you take at least one meal here. I bet you come back! Visited the branch on Orchid Land Drive.

Brought our whole family of 8 there. Great kids menu. Good amounts of food for the price. Live entertainment that night was a little loud if you’re trying to have a conversation, but great music. There was a lady giving out hot wheel cars to my 4 children even though they were older. It was a beautiful gesture and we all enjoyed it while waiting for the food.

Wow, we were just looking for a quick bite near where we are staying but the food here was fantastic! We had the pork sandwich, chicken katsu, kalbi, and catch of the day with furikake. All were outstanding! Our server was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I don’t know when we might be back, but if we find ourselves back on the Big Island again, we’ll make a point of coming back here.

Super fun experience while we were on the island. Their Super Bowl party was a blast and the staff was very accommodating. We will definitely be back next time we’re on the island! The burger and shrimp pasta were delicious and our waiter Brennan was a joy and very attentive.
