Our dinner was absolutely amazing! We were served by Jason, who was perfect. He was very kind, polite, attentive and didn’t hover too much. He was extremely proffessional and took great care in everything he did for us. The food was cooked just the way we all liked it. The atmosphere was very calm, relaxed yet very professional and all around enjoyable. I highly recommend and will certainly come back again.

The food here was absolutely WONDERFUL and DELICIOUS. I had the BBQ Bacon cheeseburger pictured in 1 & 2. It was an AMAZING burger with my favorite type of fries that have the batter type layer. My wife had the fish and chips, that had 2 decent sized pieces. I loved that this place is right inside the hotel, and the free breakfast served in here in the morning. I will definitely eat here again!

We seem to cycle around to this restaurant about every 4 to 6 months. That should tell you a lot, the food is fresh and tasty, the atmosphere is nice, the servers are fantastic! Here’s the rub. Stay away from the appetizers. Here’s what I’m talking about. If you order the salmon cakes appetizer plate, you will get two small round pieces of salmon, about the size of a half dollar and maybe a half inch thick for $17. For $3 more you can get a full salmon salad with a piece of salmon on the top that’s three or four times larger than the two little salmon cakes plus a big bed of lettuce. If you order the truffle fries you’ll get a small bowl of fries for $10. If you order their $16 hamburger you get a nice hamburger plus fries! If you really want to order hors d’oeuvres, tell your server you would like a hamburger with fries, please cut the hamburger in quarters and bring dipping sauces for your guests. A nice appetizer for 4 people.
Another smart diner idea for you guys, everything is online nowadays, look at the menu and the prices before you go and decide the types of meal you would like, then order your meals right away skipping the appetizer, this will save you money and disappointment.

As of August, 2024, this is the best restaurant south of Salem! The food quality is very high, the staff is attentive and skilled, and the wines are incredible. Tonight we had a phenomenal ribeye that melted in the mouth, covered in a scrumptious blue cheese sauce and sauteed mushrooms. We also had a polenta dish with pine nuts, roasted red peppers, spinach, cheese, and basil. It was the best non-meat dish we’ve ever eaten. Try the red wine blend and the chocolate mousse thing. Make reservations if you plan on going at a prime hour. Weve had the Caprese burger, the Rockfish with capers, and the fish and chips, and every dish is simply stellar. Only thing we didn’t like was the iced tea: too weak. Still 10 out of 10. Jordan is a true gem, on the staff.

Went out for a “nice” dinner for hubby’s birthday. Won’t choose 1847 again.
The duck app was very greasy, but that’s duck…
The fish served to the people behind us was so strong I asked what it was so we wouldn’t choose that….
I ordered the pork tenderloin for my entree. What a mistake! It was so salty I immediately took a bite of the potatoes to cleanse my palate; no relief. The potatoes were covered w/salt crystals. My third bite was the zucchini side. That also was marinated in salt.
If you have any discernment regarding the use of salt, do Not order this plate.

Here’s a polished, clear version that keeps your tone but reads more cohesive and review-ready:

What a restaurant considers “upscale” often depends on the size and sophistication of the geographical area. In larger cities, this food would certainly not qualify as such.

The food was disappointing overall—basic flavors and poor presentation. The house salad came with just two cherry tomatoes, and the Caesar salad tasted nothing like a classic Caesar.

No need to go on. The highlights were the wedge fries and the risotto.

Service was good.

The bill came to $450, which is what we typically pay at a true upscale steakhouse in California—making the value here hard to justify

First time going here and we were not expecting more than just a bar and grill. We were wrong. This could be considered fine dining. It was Incredibly Delicious. All the food was cooked and presented to perfection. You could taste each of the individual flavors for each food in each dish. Our waiter, Carl, was fantastic. I never had an empty water cup. He knew each dish well enough to give great descriptions and recommendations. I wanted to lick my plates clean. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

The service was quick and friendly even though they were busy. I had the fish and chips which was a good portion. It was delicious. The fish was tender and the fries were crispy yet fluffy inside. The spicy ketchup was a nice touch.

We’ve been here a few times and normally the food is great but this time we had a few issues. Two of us ordered the steak salad and it seemed like they cut our portion of steak in half to make two salads because it didn’t come with nearly as much as usual. (See the photo I posted separately, I’m not sure why Google won’t let me post a photo with my review). My salad also came undressed and I had to ask them for the dressing. The salad is very delicious but the portion of steak is just not up to par with the price.

WOW!!!!!

I had one of the best experience eating at that restaurant!

First time but I would never forget how I was treated and the amazing food we had. The waitress was so kind, never rushing us and always ready with recommendations. The restaurant itself it’s located inside de Best Western Premier Hotel so you get the perks of having a nice view of the Japanese gardens.

We had the best time that I literally forgot to get pictures but at least I had some for the dessert which was superb as well!

Must try: fish, burger, fries and chocolate mousse dessert
