Very, very good, but not worth the $250 per person, Michelin star or not. Set in a hideaway, in a light industrial area, it has a tiny but spacious dining area hidden behind a sliding corrugated metal door with a large outer bar , any six seat interior bar. This is a prix fixe, full service, friendly, attentive dining experience. All the courses were great with novel tastes and textures, EXCEPT the Tri-tip, that was well tri-tip, disappointingly tough and incongruous. There is good parking nearby.

If there’s a restaurant in Nashville that deserves a Michelin star, this is it. The vibes are so unique. You get to sit basically in the kitchen and watch the chefs prepare everything you eat. They are so chill and laid-back, and it doesn’t feel pretentious at all. The food was really great and probably some of the best Nashville has to offer if you’re looking for a place to have some sort of special occasion, this is it.

I recently had the chance to dine at Bastion in Nashville, and it was an experience worth remembering.
From the moment we sat down, the service stood out—attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about both the food and the wine pairings. Every member of the staff made us feel welcome without being intrusive, and that really elevated the evening.
The tasting menu was beautifully crafted, with dishes that were creative, thoughtful, and executed at a very high level. Highlights included the raw oyster with plum and lemon verbena, the raw cobia with melon and genmai, and the Bear Creek pork with eggplant and sunflower. Each plate was stunning in presentation and layered with flavor. The portions are in true tasting-menu fashion—small and refined—so while I left a little hungry, the quality of each bite more than made up for it.
We chose the wine pairing, which was spot-on. The selections complemented each course beautifully and gave us the chance to try a range of unique bottles. For cocktails, Bastion absolutely shines. Drinks like the Sandia Boys and Lush Garden were fresh, inventive, and perfectly balanced—easily some of the best cocktails I’ve had in Nashville.
The atmosphere added to the night: warm, creative, and slightly playful, which fits the food and drink style perfectly.
Overall, Bastion is a gem for anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in Nashville. Expect artistry on the plate, outstanding drinks, and top-notch service. Just know going in that this is a true tasting-menu format, so it’s about savoring flavors, not filling up.
Would I go back? Absolutely—next time I’ll plan on grabbing a little something extra afterward, but for the food, drinks, and service alone, Bastion more than delivers.

An unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. The tasting menu was a masterful journey of flavors, each course beautifully presented and thoughtfully paired with wines that elevated every bite. The creativity in the kitchen is matched by the impeccable service—knowledgeable, attentive, and never intrusive. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between sophisticated and welcoming. This is more than just a meal; it’s an experience worth savoring and sharing. A true gem for anyone who appreciates culinary artistry.

A little gem. Casual atmosphere to just hangout at the bar or sit on the couch and chat with friends. The music playing at the background is “perfect” where we can actually talk to each other at a normal tone vs yelling at each other to over come loud music. The bartenders are very attentive and the snack offerings were sufficient. Will definitely go back with friend.

Wow. This is the probably my peak dining experience I’ve had. Service was superb. Really enjoyed having the chefs explain their dishes and getting to watch them prepare everything. The wine pairing was excellent also.
If you can swing it, you need to go and experience this place.

The tasting menu was excellent! My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday. She had a lovely time. We enjoyed trying foods that we don’t normally eat prepared in ways we don’t normally prepare them. I would’ve liked to have stopped at the little bar on our way out to try to some fine spirits, but another party occupied it the whole thing right before we finished our meal which was a let down. My wife’s wine was delicious, while the one I ordered was a letdown. So, if you don’t do the wine pairing, be selective.
Overall, we would go back for the food.

From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be an experience. The fact that there is a regular bar in the opening with this incredible high end restaurant in the back, brilliant! We got a cocktail at the back bar and then headed to dinner. The food was impeccable. Visually beautiful but the flavor profile hit every time. The staff was so kind and attentive. It was not pretentious at all and was one of the best fine dining experience I’ve had.

We had such an amazing experience at Bastion. Each course was unique, fresh and exciting. I am so happy to have opted for the wine pairing too. We enjoyed talking with the chefs and getting their insight on how each dish was prepared and created. We will absolutely be back next time we are in Nashville. This was one of the top dining experiences we’ve ever had.

Vibes here as Been here before but came on a game day which meant busy busy. We ordered game day the special which is a drink and nachos. Ordered them veggie but it was loud and the bartender didn’t hear us. Anyway, get them, they’re meat heavy and just not what we wanted. We let them know and they went above and beyond to make it right. So impressed with the customer-centric mindset the staff had and how chill they were in correcting it and apologizing. Great spot in a good neighborhood but even better staff – especially Harrison. So professional and willing to go the extra mile. Keep it up y’all and see you next game!
