Reviews
This is one of my most frequently visited restaurants in Fairbanks, and it never disappoints! If you love Thai food, I highly recommend this place.
Fresh wild caught salmon in sweet and sour sauce was delicious! I couldn’t get enough of the halibut egg rolls either. Highly recommend this place.
Service was a tad slow, but they were very busy and packed so it was understandable.
Tip for vegetarians: they will tell you but make sure to check. Massaman, and red curry have shrimp paste in them.
I rarely write reviews, but this place compelled me to write one because of how shockingly poor the hospitality was.
This was the first restaurant we visited in Fairbanks on the day we landed. We were exhausted and hungry. When we arrived, they told us the restaurant “closes at 4.” We assumed, as most people would, that the kitchen closes at 4. Instead, they served a full order for four people and then five minutes later asked us to pack up all the food and leave because they meant the entire restaurant closes at 4. If we were expected to be out by 4 sharp, why accept and serve an order minutes before? It made no sense and set the tone for what was to come.
Despite this odd start, the food was decent, so we gave them another chance before leaving Fairbanks — and this visit was even worse.
We asked multiple times for condiments. Not only did the staff refuse to refill them, they told us to “finish what’s already in the cups first” before they would even consider bringing more. After that, they avoided eye contact and simply ignored us.
When we left a zero-dollar tip due to the poor service, the server confronted us and asked what went wrong. We calmly explained about the repeated requests for condiments being ignored. His response shocked us — he said he remembered us from the previous visit and then told us:
“Don’t bother to come back.”
When we replied that this isn’t a way to treat customers, he escalated and said:
“I don’t give a _“
To add to all of this, I found it unbelievable that the server behaved as though receiving a tip was his right. Restaurants often display signs saying they have the right to deny service to anyone — similarly, customers have every right to deny a tip when the service is genuinely poor. Tips are earned, not owed.
I have never experienced a restaurant with such blatant disrespect, entitlement, and lack of basic hospitality. There are plenty of warm, welcoming places in Fairbanks — this is absolutely not one of them. Avoid if you expect even minimal courtesy or professionalism.
Our waitress was so lovely. She took care of our entire group, which consisted of 12 people, and was so kind and knowledgeable of the menu. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with Thai imagery including wooden carved elephants, Buddhist gods, statues, a partition, and plants.
For an appetizer, I shared their Chicken Curry puffs with my fiancé. For my main, I got their Drunken Noodles with Scallops, and it was delicious! The portion was enormous, so I gladly had leftovers for the next day. It was cooked in their scrumptious Thai Brown Sauce, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Their lemonade was also lovely and refreshing.
This Thai restaurant is a great place for a family gathering or date night out, and I really enjoyed my meal here!
