The food was incredible! Everything was so fresh and tasted delicious. I’ve been to every Thai restaurant in SW, FL and this is BY FAR the best one. I tried thiesen up the road and the glass noodles with beef was horrible. Nothing tasted as fresh as it did here. Everything I’ve tried here has exceeded my expectations! From the dinners, to the deserts, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The owners are also so kind and generous. Highly recommend this wonderful hole in the wall!

The food was delicious and wasn’t too pricey. However, we were told to sit at a table that hadn’t been cleaned and honestly, it never got cleaned. We had to pile the dishes ourselves from the previous customers and our server did not wipe down the table which is incredibly unsanitary. We received one refill on our sodas, which is usually fine except the server gave us the eye daggers when we asked for another soda refill before leaving. Our server was obviously trying to rush us out. It’s Friday evening, I’m taking my wife out to dinner and we were there for a briefer period of time than the table behind us, next to us and in front of us. Abysmal service honestly and considering how many restaurants are in Naples, we will certainly not be back again, ever for any reason.

The Green Curry is sweeter than CANDY! Ordered here for the first time for pickup. I had no issues with the fresh rolls or tuna rolls, but the green curry was disgusting. The ingredients were great – fresh, great vegetables and good quality chicken, but the curry sauce was SO unbelievably sweet it made me nauseous.

My family and I came here while on vacation. We had several different sushi rolls along with a couple entrees. The staff was friendly, and the sushi was delicious. We had the Naples roll, Super crunch, Ocean Dragon, yellow dragon, and Hawaiian (no coconut). The specialty sushi rolls were priced higher than we are used to, but I think it’s just because this area is much different than where we live & frequent. It was all delicious. I would return here and also recommend this restaurant to others

The food was great!! Sushi was wonderful, and so were the crab rangoons! Of course, it took longer to get the sushi than to get the meals, but that’s expected. I had the shrimp tempura, Hawaiian, and lobster tempura roll. The shrimp and lobster tempura rolls were warm and yummy, and the Hawaiian roll was good, but not my favorite. Sesame chicken was good as well! The service was average.

not sure if they changed their recipes or they have a new owner, but the food was absolutely terrible. we ordered takeout delivery and when the sushi came, it was really warm and soggy. and i dont know how rice can even be soggy. make that make sense. We ordered wonton soup and it was horrible. The wontons were COMPLETELY MUSH. Mushy mushy mushy and slimy. We ordered two sushi rolls, the sexy lady roll and the naples blvd roll and both were DISGUSTING. the tempura was all soggy on the inside with absolutely no crunch to it, both rolls tasted old like they’d been left out all day, and the overall experience was just nasty. this place used to be amazing before. don’t come here unless you want to eat SLOP.

First thing to notice is the price. Maipithai drastically increased prices over their predecessor “ThaiThai Sushi Bowl” on all the sushi offerings. The tuna in the Tuna Hand-rolls had the texture of pudding – I literally couldn’t tell it was actually fish. So I threw away the two hand-rolls I ordered. We also tried the shrimp tempura and it tasted like it was prepared the day before and had been sitting around until it got to us. So we didn’t eat those either. The shrimp tempura roll was as tolerable as something premade at a grocery store.
After having paid for dinner and not eating any of it – We went out for burgers at Island Gypsy Cafe.
We won’t be returning to Maipithai. Thai by KJ on Marco island is the premier sushi spot around here so we will go there. Also Thai Thai Sushi bowl has a Marco island store as well, but we know that KJ is always the preferred spot.
