Been coming to this Wendy’s location since before it opened (#25 baby!) and I gotta say, this is easily the best fast food restaurant in terms of service in the Newport/Irvine area.
Come during rush hour, you’ll still get your food anywhere between negative 10 seconds (yes, ‘negative’—I’ve had it happen where I’ll still be paying and my food will be ready) and 5 minutes MAX. Everyone here is a team player, and ON IT.
Food here is always spot on too. I usually go for a Jr. fry and a larger burger/chicken sandwich. In this particular photo, I got a Dave’s Double. Pro tip: anything beyond a single is going to be a cavern of meat, so be sure to double up on veggies for the ‘Double’ or stomach-defying ‘Triple’. Fries are always crispy and even have a spiciness in the powder they put on it (those with an aversion to spice beware).
Soda machine is great and easy to use. Nugs here are legit. Sauces are good and team will give you some without rolling their eyes like other places do. Bathrooms are clean for the most part. Friendly greetings and farewells are commonplace.
Highly recommend for your fast food needs!
Edit: Someone reminded me in another review that, yes, sometimes your burger order will be wrong, but I’ve found this to be par for the course for a lot of fast food places—the staff here are friendly and are very quick at correcting mistakes, as has been my experience.

This is a new Wendy’s and it started off rough. Orders were wrong, very long lines and very crowded. It has since gotten a lot better. It still is very crowded but they manage orders quickly. The issue is a lot of people standing around during 11:30-1pm waiting for their orders and it can get very crowded. Seating is limited. Everyone is very friendly and they have clean restrictions and a clean dinning area but it’s very small.

Mr. Armando always surprises me with new ways of providing great customer service each time I visit this restaurant. It is like I would visit for the 1st time again, so one feels great to go eat at this Wendy’s. In fact, I have a Wendy’s next to my house in Irvine, but I will drive to this restaurant because it has the best customer service, smiles and staff. I have observed 1st hand how this great manager treats each customer and his crew with respect, active listening, patience and friendliness. Mr. Armando exemplifies phenomenal people skills. He should be training other restaurants to make a difference there too. He is a great assest to Wendy’s. My family enjoys this place. A super kudos to him and his team!!!!

They take your order in person outside now. With someone who doesn’t know menu. Then don’t get your order right. And the 1 thing they got “correct” was swimming in oil made everything soggy. DO NOT order wing sauce chicken

2nd time this week forgot my order… 1st time forgot my nuggets and 2 signature sauce I paid 1 dollar and today forgot my 2 signature sauce again…. drive thur people need to stop talking or get fired

Food was terrible, as bad as McDonald’s. I didn’t eat until maybe 15-20mins after getting the food and the fries were basically inedible.
The burger was very bland and poor tasting.
The nuggets were okay, but not great.
The sauces were all pretty bad too, which was a shock. I got all the sauces to try and they all tasted bad, except for maybe ranch and bbq sauce which were okay.
I don’t eat fast food these days and this was just a reminder for why I don’t.
Also there’s no cashiers, just tablets now, which is kind of stupid because it honestly took longer to order and I had a coupon from the app that they had to manually scan anyway so I needed a cashier to help me..
if you’re ordering here just do it through the app ahead of time.
