Good but underwhelming. Went with the slaw dog. It was a cheap pink wiener that was so skinny that the bun completely wrapped around the dog and chow chow/slaw. They take debit cards, online says cash only. No seats inside. Go on a nice day. Wife likes the BBQ sandwich.

Best barbgue ever! I was fortunate enough to have been raised in Florence, Al amd had Bunyan’s all through early life. Moved away from college on and when I return I usually go there before I get to my family’s home. Lol
Seriously, many of my friends ask me to bring it back now when they learn I am going home for a visit. I’ve had other Barbque from many areas, but hands down Bunyan’s is also the best!

Yeah buddy!!! Came down from Redstone Arsenal to watch my daughter play club volleyball tournament on Florence Alabama. I must say you must stop and get you some good barbecue from Bunyan’s! Chicken sandwich with Slaw. Perfection. Peace cobbler delicious!!! You won’t be disappointed.

Throw back BBQ joint with excellent food and friendly service — sitting outside on a nice day is hard to beat. The ribs and pulled pork were excellent and their slaw is wonderful. Take out except for the outside seating.

I had to give Bunyan’s 5 stars for their rib snack! How could I not? Three juicy, meaty, tender and delicious ribs served with two types of sauce, some of the most original slaw I’ve ever tasted and a roll. I just can’t imagine a better lunch in Florence at any price. Next time I’m going to have to try a hot dog… while I was waiting for my order, the gentleman behind me ordered five!

Got the ribs and potato salad. Was really not impressed. Flavor was good, but have had better local ribs. I know a lot of people come here for the BBQ though!
