I ordered on DoorDash and got it delivered. I ordered Lomein noodles and crab Ragoons. That was good. My gf ordered chicken, pot stickers. The first two pieces of chicken were ok and fresh the rest was dried out and inedible . We could not chew the chicken.Ot was like they had left over chicken and add two pieces of fresh. Half of it was wasted because it was inedible . It was very disgusting and disappointing. I would not order that again.

The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming. Our needs were met and our beverage refills will replenishes promptly. The food arrived hot and freshly made to our table. The food had great flavor with the portion sizes providing great value for amount paid. In definitely stopping here again when I’m in the area.

Nice ambiance. Worst food I’ve ever had in my life. Came for lunch and had chicken that was so over cooked that it could crack your tooth. White rice was mush. Crab rangoons tasted sour and were undercooked. Would never recommend to eat here.

Tom and I went to Crystal Lake to sharpen some scissors today and decided to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole world, Chen’s. We had the’yre incredible egg rolls that we always always always get plus crab Rangoon, which is absolutely spectacular along with the crispy Szechuan beef and it was unbelievable.
We’ve been going to this restaurant for over 25 years and the owner Ming is so good to us every time we come in. We always talk about our kids and he always ask what’s going on with Kyle.

When we lived in Crystal Lake, Chen’s was our favorite Chinese carryout restaurant. I was in town today and stopped for lunch, seated in their dining room. The hostess was pleasant, but the server, a tall man (Li), was ice cold. I ordered beef chop suey with fried rice.
The beef was awful; so tough, I could not eat it. When finished, I told Li as he took my plate away. He grunted, then promptly brought my bill with a fortune cookie. He offered nothing more than a barely audible “sorry,” under his breath.
I left an appropriate tip and left, likely never to return.

Ordered to go for dinner. Food was ready when said. Lo mein noodles were half crispy half soft like they weren’t all cooked at the same temp. Rice had a starchy taste to it, you can tell the rice isn’t rinsed before it is cooked-but that’s just my preference. Mongolian beef was dry. Egg roll was soft but again it’s take out. Would be willing to try dine in but I’m in no rush to go back.

I love Chen’s! My favorite dish is the Honey Chicken with the sauce on the side. My go-to appetizer is the King Eggroll. Just a heads-up: the eggroll can be pretty greasy and heavy on frying oil, but overall the food is delicious and always hits the spot.

I cannot express enough how much I miss Chen’s. I’ve since moved out of state and nothing compares… Nothing. From the egg rolls (my absolute fav), pot stickers, kung pao, Szechuan green beans… Chens is the best. Service was always great & food even better. Can we get y’all connected with Taste of Chicago so we can ship these egg rolls nationwide? Asking for a friend.

Drove past it for years, back and forth down 14 and just tried it for the first time. We will definitely be back! Food was great, service was friendly, and despite a couple of loud diners, the full restaurant wasn’t as chaotic as it could have been.
