The food was overpriced, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. Our server pressured us to order more than we wanted, which made the experience uncomfortable. Two people in our group didn’t want to eat and decided to leave, and instead of being understanding, the staff got upset, moved our table, and automatically added an 18% gratuity for five people. They even mentioned that if we had six, it would have been 22%. Overall, it felt like they cared more about squeezing money out of us than providing good service.

Not NEARLY as good as it was 10+ years ago. Decided to give this place another try after coming here a year ago & being disappointed. I had to take away another star, unfortunately. Back when we lived in Bend 10+ years ago, it was the BEST sushi place in Bend. Since then, they’ve quit making all their in-house sauces gluten free for the sushi rolls. I used to be able to get pretty much ANY roll Gluten Free, now my options are sorely limited & I can’t have Any sauces on my rolls. It’s highly disappointing. The food does not reflect their prices either, you’re charging 3-4 star prices & serving up 2 star quality food. Your sushi rolls fall apart instead of holding together like they should. They don’t taste as fresh anymore & some of them taste like absolute TRASH. You could probably fix that by bringing back your old way of making the sauces Fresh & gluten free & use fresher fish. Also, at the end we got told that we HAD to tip at least 10%. My husband said, “Technically we don’t have to tip Anything, but we tipped what we thought the food was worth and that’s not much.” We won’t be back. We’ll find another place. I don’t know who is managing this place now, but you’re doing it all wrong. The waitresses were Super friendly, so you get 1 star.

Delicious sushi with fantastic customer service (Young is an absolute gem!!). I have not dined in at this location yet (I’ve done takeout only), but look forward to dining in one day because not only is the sushi top notch and very fresh, but the customer service from the staff at this location is outstanding. Any kimchi lovers need to check our their house-made kimchi. I bought a 32 ounce 4 days ago and it’s half gone… so delicious! Mio Sushi is our go-to sushi joint while in Bend!

I love this place! It is one of my must stop to visit places in Bend. Food was perfect and the prices were not bad, or pricy. The staff was pretty fast and the chefs did an amazing job. Most of their stuff is gluten free and they use gluten free soy sauces in their house sauces! That is one of the reasons why i chose them and I was so happy that i could get Chicken Teriyaki and not worry about gluten!

We got the unagi nigiri, California roll, and the takoyaki. I gave 2 stars because the California roll was decent. The lady who helped us was also very nice and the service was good. The nigiri was pathetically tiny, most certainly not worth the price and the eel sauce that it came with tasted very maple syrup-y, not like normal eel sauce. The takoyaki had a strange texture and the sauce that was supposed to be spicy mayo tasted like a cross between cheese whiz and baileys Irish cream. Even putting Japanese authenticity aside, if you want good food or good value this isn’t the place to get it.

I very much enjoyed the food and prompt service I received yesterday while out running errands. After lunch, I was able to relax and enjoy my hot tea. The server, Yong, was so pleasant and helpful in my sushi selections, even providing me a gluten free menu to help with choices. Definitely will be back.

Mio Sushi served some incredibly delicious sushi that I thoroughly enjoyed. We tried the Heart Attack, Suhiza, and one roll, along with a bento box, and all of them were exceptionally yummy. Mio Sushi, located in the middle of the shopping mall, was a bit challenging to find a parking spot, but it was definitely worth the effort.
