Great cappuccinos here! I had the pinsa too. It was fresh and light. The energy is nice and cozy and the service is fantastic. It definitely feels like a hidden Italian gem in Jersey.

Cute place. Iced Pistachio Latte was amazing (and that’s coming from a very traditional coffee and espresso guy), the latte was my girl friend’s. The cookies and cappucino were also very good!

It was an absolute pleasure to come here. It was our first time trying Cafe 179 and we do not expect it to be our last. The quality of service was excellent. And the drinks and food were just as amazing. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

2nd time eating in this place and both times the food tastes great. The food is always fresh . I had a mortadella and mozzarella sandwich. It was yummy but for the price I paid was kind of crazy , it was just a slice of bent in half.

So quaint my type of place. Cozy local spot!!!!! Finally stopped by Cafe 179 after always catching it closed after work. The place is charming with great pastries (loved the sfogliatelle) and a really good pistachio latte. I mentioned the hours to one of the staff—possibly the owner—and she said they’ll be extending them soon, which is great news. Definitely my kind of place, and one of the reasons I enjoy living in a small town❤️.

Love this place. The staff is very welcoming and professional and the food is great. A real Italian deal with genuine ingredients. Whether you need a coffee break or a nice lunch, this is a fantastic place to go!

Coffee here is so good and high quality with fair price! People here are so nice and welcoming too. So glad to have a place like this in the area. They also got imported Italian snacks for sale which is a plus.

This place went downhill fast, and I used to think it was a hidden gem. I’m a “purebred” Italian, and when this place first opened, they had super fresh ingredients in massive portions. It was amazing. Over time, their ingredients have actually become sub-par and they’re skimping on their portions. I’m not sure which is more offensive — the fact that they’re not the hidden gem that I thought they were, or the fact that they thought they could get away with reducing both quality and quantity without me caring/noticing. The melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto suddenly became chewy with a gamey taste; their pinsa suddenly started being served stale (like, jaw-popping stale). Overall incredibly disappointing. They started serving raw milk..? I’ve also witnessed discriminatory behavior from the staff. Stay away.
