I ordered Fajitas Del Mar and could not have been happier. The amount, size, and taste of the shrimp were great. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and being that I work in a kitchen I can tell you just how easy it is to overcook scallops. The fish was moist and seasoned just right. There was absolutely no flaw in this dish.
Drink menu has many options and they are the home of the Scorpion shot which I highly recommend if you want an adult beverage.
Price point is more than fair for the quality and quantity received. If you live in the upstate of South Carolina you must try Papa Julio’s. Word of mouth brought me and I’ll be returning as well as recommending.
I went small on my order-the quesadillas I had were very good. Portion size was just right and they were filled- I mean filled -with meat. The steak and pork both had excellent flavor. My wife’s taco salad was loaded with beef. Again, well seasoned and very good portion size. Everything was fresh!
My son and daughter were both pleasantly surprised at the size of their entrees. The Carna Asada and the Chiropollo plates were covered! Ther rice and bean portions were not huge, it was mostly the entree. They both brought some back to the house.
Everything was very good. I would recommend that if you are in Seneca stop in to Papa Julio’s for a tasty lunch or dinner!
Before you even walk in the door you feel the atmosphere from the sidewalk , then you walk inside and it’s inviting. Then the basics they bring you the chips and dips. The tortilla chips were perfectly crispy and fresh , paired with bean dip, salsa, and queso that were all absolutely spot-on. Even the sweet tea was perfect , smooth, cold, and exactly how it should be.
Then came the main dishes , and they did not disappoint. The Burrito de la Roqueta was easily one of the best I’ve ever had , and I’ve had that dish at hundreds of Mexican restaurants up and down the East Coast. It’s in the top three I’ve ever had for sure, maybe even #1. The fajitas were sizzling, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned , every bite was a reminder that this place knows what it’s doing in the kitchen.
The service was just as impressive. Friendly staff, quick refills, and even the manager was walking around helping and checking on tables , a rare thing these days and a sign of great leadership.
The decor deserves its own mention , fresh, clean, modern, and perfectly balanced all the way down to the bathrooms. The atmosphere is upbeat and inviting , the kind of place you actually enjoy being in.
If I had to make one small note , the music volume was a bit on the loud side , but honestly, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Everything else was flawless.
Five stars all the way , Papa Julio’s delivers on every level , food, service, and atmosphere. Absolutely worth the visit and then some!
We made reservations in advance just in case. When we came in we got to choose the style of table we wanted so we chose the high top since my nieces love that style of table so much.
Our server was awesome. He made sure everyone was taken care of and was happy with our meals. My niece ordered a veggie meal and it didn’t say on the menu that they covered it with a red sauce. When it came out she was not too happy with it so they took it back and remade her one with no issue.
All of our specialty drinks were great and the food was even better. The atmosphere and decor are also on point. A very great place to check out if you haven’t already. We’ll definitely be returning
