I had a great experience at Yolklore! I stopped in for a meal and the vibe was fantastic—it genuinely seemed like everyone behind the counter, from the folks taking orders to the cooks, really enjoyed being there.
Jordan took my order and was incredibly helpful, maintaining a positive and upbeat mood that started the visit off right. My food came out impressively fast, and every part of the meal was excellent:
Biscuits and Gravy: Easily the highlight. The gravy was flavorful with plenty of sausage bits and didn’t have that overly “floury” taste you sometimes find. The biscuit itself was also top-tier.
The Potatoes: These were unique and a real standout—they serve whole baby potatoes instead of the standard hash or home fries.
Bacon: Thick-cut, tasty, and cooked perfectly (not overdone).
Scrambled Eggs: Simple, fresh, and spot on.
I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quality breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. I’ll be back!

We are always looking for noteworthy breakfasts. I am amazed at the small town flavor and feel of this restaurant!
The coffee is good and strong. They have a coffee club, where they give a mug and a hook with your name on it!
Leah was at the counter and was very helpful with all things St Louis! Thanks for the warm and friendly conversation!
I had the breakfast, Jill built her own breakfast sandwich. Both were excellent!

My favorite food item is the GF bread for their breakfast sandwich. I also like their beet and spinach smoothie; it’s a lot tastier than it sounds. It’s a small, quaint place where you order your food at the counter and then pick it up. It cuts some costs not having servers and it speeds up wait time.

I would share photos of the Frittata, biscuits, and gravy, but we inhaled all of it because it looked amazing, and yes, it tasted divine. Sausage in the gravy, biscuits are large and perfectly cooked, and the frittata was paradoxically light yet filling. The staff is so friendly and helpful- we found a way to put the pounds back on after biking the Grants Trail!

We order breakfast from here regularly because of living in a household with dietary restrictions. Yolklore has always been great at meeting the requirements for lactose free. They always write on the lids to our smoothies which ones have the vegan yogurt and which ones do not. We ordered DoorDash and got four smoothies. Two of them were supposed to have yogurt. There was no writing on any of the lids so we called to ask if there’s a way for us to be able to tell which ones are vegan. The employee on the phone told us that they were too busy to write on the lids right now and that’s why that happened. They then told us that we didn’t even order vegan yogurt in any of our smoothies. We told them it says on our receipt we did and we got charged for the vegan yogurt. They tried to maintain that we did not order vegan yogurt. We told them we did and we had the receipt. They then told us “oh yeah you did, we’re gonna make two more and you can come up and get”. We told them we DoorDash and didn’t have a vehicle right now. After a ridiculous back-and-forth, we came up with the idea to just refund us for the smoothies and we’d place a new order regardless of how long it took. They said that would work and we placed our order for only two vegan smoothies. When they finally arrived, there was nothing that implied vegan yogurt in either of them so we called them back to double check, they were very frustrated and rude with us on the phone, even though we were not expressing any anger. They assured us it was vegan yogurt, even though it didn’t say it and my wife drank one and before finishing it her stomach got wrecked painfully and she threw up because it actually did have regular yogurt and not vegan. I can’t express how much we’ve patronize this place and how awesome it used to be but after the bad service and the attitude we got while we were not putting any out I will never go to this place again. They are not the only breakfast in town and I find this whole situation disgusting from a patrons standpoint.

First timer and I was not disappointed!! The cashier was friendly when taking my order. The place is very cozy. You seat yourself and wait on your order to be called. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing. Also ordered smoothies which were small but very good. Would definitely return. Also the drive thru is a wonderful option when you don’t wish to sit and eat.

Fantastic breakfast and brunch spot alert in St. Louis!
Yolklore in Crestwood, MO delivers a fantastic breakfast experience. My frittata was simply fantastic, bursting with flavor. The unique half-smashed, crispy potatoes added a delightful twist to the meal.
And let’s talk about the pride and joy – the gooey butter cake. Trust me, if you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out! It’s a must-try.
Yolklore strives to use local and healthy ingredients in its creations. It’s a great fast casual breakfast!
Thanks to Mary the owner! Loved it!

I love this place for its convenience and unique menu. It has a drive thru and a big take out clientele but the coffee club offers personalized mugs for regular coffee sippers. The take out choices are fabulous if you’re looking for a quick grab and go brunch. I got a falafel dish while my partner ordered a quiche and both were actual taste explosions! Boasting fresh squeezed orange juice and hand crafted coffee drinks this tiny find is an indulgent option for those of us who don’t have time for an elaborate breakfast. I love that they have gooey butter came to go!!
Staff was friendly and informative. Expect to order at the counter and retrieve your own food when your name is called.

My friend and I have tried breakfast spots all over the STL area, so when he suggested Yolklore, I was game. I’m from more rural Missouri and very picky about things like gravy consistency, lol, so I can be a difficult-to-please breakfast customer. But Yolklore won me over!
I had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs and bacon. And look at that yolk! I know it’s in the name, but I also cook eggs regularly and know it’s a delicate science. The gravy was phenomenal and well-seasoned, not the thick grey stuff found elsewhere at STL breakfast spots. The staff were wonderful, and even used gender-neutral pronouns about me (“Can you hand them this to go box?”), which may seem small but means a lot when someone is used to being misgendered all over town. All in all, I was pleased. It was slightly spendy, but worth it.
