Tried Los Cantaros while back in Kimberling City visiting my parents and was honestly impressed! A new Mexican restaurant in town that’s good? Very appreciated!

The food is fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want – simple, satisfying, and done right. And the margaritas? Strong in all the right ways!

They were slammed when we went, but the staff was working their tails off and still kept things friendly and moving!

Huge win for Kimberling City – I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m home!

After a busy morning running errands around town, we decided to stop in for lunch at this local Mexican restaurant near Table Rock Lake — and we’re glad we did. It was exactly the kind of break we needed.

The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, with fast seating and a friendly greeting at the door. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, perfect for a mid-day meal without feeling rushed or too formal.

The food came out hot and fresh. We had a Taco Salad Fajita (Chicken) and everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The chips and salsa were a great starter — crisp chips and a salsa and a side of guacamole that had a good balance of spice and freshness. Portions were just right for lunch: filling, but not heavy. We also enjoyed some very tasty desserts that you have to try yourself!

Our server was attentive and kind, making sure drinks were full and everything was to our liking. Even with a steady lunch crowd, service moved along smoothly, and we were in and out in a reasonable time.

If you’re in the area and want something reliably good while out and about, this place is worth a stop. We’ll definitely keep it on our list for an easy and enjoyable lunch option. Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant n SWMO!

Went to Los Cantaros last night for the first time! Nice to have a Mexican option in KC rather than driving to Branson West. Food was great, margaritas were tasty, and my wife loved her Paloma. We usually hit the 2 popular Mexican restaurants in BW of which neither one could make a Paloma. Pretty sad considering it’s even more popular than a margarita in Mexico. All in all, we were very pleased with our first experience at Los Cantaros and will definitely be back. If I could suggest one improvement it would be the ambiance. Need to soften the lighting and make it a little less bright. Almost feels like you’re eating in a cafeteria.

Delicious food. Conveniently located. Good service. My parents and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was very busy (but no wait for seating). There was also a large group there celebrating someone’s birthday. Los Cantaros needs to be expanded or in a larger building so more people can enjoy it! I had the chicken fajitas and it was one of the best I have ever had! I definitely recommend Los Cantaros!

The food was good, not great, loved the thin, crispy chips but the salsa was just okay. I had the Burrito Real from the lunch menu. It was a good portion size and the ground beef was well-seasoned. I felt the refried beans were a little thin but I did like the rice. We live south of Lampe, so we do appreciate the convenience of its location, for sure. I expect we’ll be back to try other offerings.

Delish! We got the Alambre, which was stir fried perfectly with 3 kinds of meat, caramelized onions and pineapple. Also got the chimichanga and taco salad, everything tasted so fresh and was seasoned perfectly! I ordered beef in the chimichanga and was surprised it was not boring hamburger, but instead slices of what reminded me of slow cooked beef roast. Wow! We were really impressed, and so glad to have this new spot in town. Everyone was very friendly, and the waiter made sure we never ran out of drinks, salsa or chips. We definitely recommend this place and we’re excited to try it again for our next family dinner!

My family and friends have eaten here over a dozen times in the past several months. Don’t let some of these low star ratings convince you their food is sub par. We have NEVER had bad service, nothing short of top level service and the food is spectacular. Read the menu, ask questions, extend gratitude in your tips, but this place rocks – especially for this area where dining options are slim! Chips are always hot and refills are quick. If you prefer cold Tostitos – go to Harder House and grab a bag. If you’ve eaten here a half dozen times and have a 3 star rating – why do you keep returning? Just sayin’. Congratulations on your restaurant venture and thanks for coming to Table Rock Lake. Photos will be added later.

Got a To go order steak was over cooked dry and cold. The chicken was also old and dry ..even the kids fries tasted like McDonald’s fries after they sat in the fridge overnight. Everything was not fresh, even the guacamole was dark brown. The pictures are deceiving. Mama liked the taco salad despite the discolored guac.

This is the best Mexican food around, better than any place in Branson, Branson West or Hollister. The food is really good, great portions, NO drenched in QUESO, they use shredded cheese, and the margaritas are priced right and not overly sweet. This is such a relief, after so many years of mediocre and/or overpriced Mexican food locally. Bravo, Los Cantaros!

Would never recommend. This is my first bite that had a cooked fly in it. After opening the chicken chimichanga there were several flies. The server didn’t do anything additional for us and left without eating a meal.
