If you like Chipotle but, like me, are not happy with their food quality and customer service lately, this is the place to go. A little over a month ago, I switched from Chipotle to Guac Shop, and not only is my food fresher (especially the steak and guacamole), my order made quicker, and the portions much larger (no more fighting to get more meat in your burrito bowl for $2 extra at Chipotle), but my wallet is also thanking me for the money I save going here over Chipotle, where I get about half the food in my burrito bowl when compared to Guac Shop’s generous portions. It is 100% worth it to support this small chain, which boasts great food, excellent customer service, and a rewards program, in addition to frequent deals and specials (and it is probably one of the best deals for good food you could get on 7th Street).
Yet, what really floored me about Guac Shop was its catering services. Last night, I ordered catering for an event with over 50 people, and when I typically order catering from a restaurant, I assume the food is not going to taste as good, as sometimes food does not travel well or is haphazardly prepared in an effort to quickly fulfill a large catering order. This was not the case for Guac Shop. The food tasted just as good as it does in the restaurant and was a huge hit with the event’s attendees. I want to give a special shoutout to Luke for all his hard work with preparing the catering order and giving me real-time updates on the status of the order, in addition to performing free delivery and getting the food to us earlier than needed. I am heavily considering ordering catering from Guac Shop for future events after last night’s stellar experience!

I picked up a too good to go bag from this location and I must say it was not worth the buck. They have two tiny burritos that both contained mostly rice. You could tell they wanted to just get rid of the rice they had leftover. The chicken burrito had a few pieces of chicken which was kind of disappointing.

Will not be going here anytime soon. Everything is a separate charge! This is ridiculous. You have a set price for the bowl that’s it. Don’t start charging extra $3. for this and $4. for that. Please stop sending so many emails and texts with coupons if you’re not going to honor them. I also want to add the taste of the food and freshness is definitely not the same. Sorry very disappointed.

Love the food at guacahop
The food is fresh, flavorful, and full of that perfect Mexican kick. The guacamole is unreal — easily the best around — and every dish tastes like it’s made with real care. The staff is friendly, quick, and always on point. Clean place, great vibes, and amazing portions.

I can’t believe how packed the bowl was with ingredients – I ended up sharing it with my family! Gauc has definitely raised the bar for me, and I need to upgrade my bowl game!
Recently had plan going out with family & 16th year boy had birthday & we had fantastic view and Gauc Shop food imagine simply I mention today my son 16th birthday, manager apply 10% Discount thank you Gauc Shop
As a self-proclaimed foodie, I’ve tried various bowl options at places like CAVA, Chipotle, and Mosh Mexican Grill. But Gauc takes the cake! The quality and quantity of ingredients are top-notch, and the flavors are incredibly rich.
The staff is super friendly and cool, making the experience even more enjoyable. Although it’s a small spot, the outdoor dining area is lively and perfect for the spring and summer months (May to September, and sometimes even October).
I’ll definitely be back to try more menu items and ingredients – and I’ll make sure to add some photos to this review next time!

This place USED to be really good!!! It’s unfortunate that the food at the Garden City is extremely bland lately! The Mexi potatoes recently taste like boiled sweet potatoes with NO SEASONING at all. The New Hyde Park location seems to be better but also is NOT consistent. Also, sometimes the fridge barely has any drinks!

This place is fantastic. Around here, tough to find good food at a reasonable price. This spot delivers on all and I’m very happy I found it. Fresh ingredients, portions that actually fill you. Highly recommend. I hope they don’t change a thing because this works very well.
