All of the food we had was delicious. BBQ meats so tender, fried foods was seasoned good. Lasagna was delicious. Mac and cheese creamy and good. Apple pie and punch delicious. The amount of food for money generous. Went there because of the reviews and they was right, It did not disappoint We will visit again when in the area! Would recommend to anyone asking and will tell to others.

Okay, let me tell you about our meal at Big Daddy’s tonight. My wife and I decided to go all in and try a little bit of everything, and wow… we were *not* disappointed!

**My Plate:**
– **Meatloaf:** Classic, hearty, and just like comfort should taste. Slightly heavy on the ketchup flavor, but I love it that way.
– **Ribs:** Fall-off-the-bone tender, with that perfect smoky-sweet bite.
– **Lasagna:** HOLD UP. I did *not* expect to rave about lasagna at a soul food spot, but holy smokes. This was my absolute favorite!? Layers of cheesy, meaty goodness with a sauce that had me scraping the plate. Unexpected star!
– **Sides:** Baked beans were smoky and rich, and the chicken spaghetti was creamy and totally addictive.

**Wife’s Plate:**
– **Salisbury Steak:** Juicy, savory, smothered in gravy – she devoured it.
– **Turkey Wing:** Huge and flavorful, falling apart tender.
– **Fried Chicken:** Crispy outside, juicy inside. She couldn’t stop talking about it!
– **Sides:** Rice was perfect for soaking up gravy, and the Mac n cheese? Creamy, cheesy, soul food gold.

But honestly? Beyond the **seriously amazing flavors** (everything tasted homemade and packed with love), the **staff made the night**. So warm, so gracious, checking on us without hovering, and just radiating that good Southern hospitality vibe. Big Mama (I think?) at the counter was an absolute sweetheart!

We rolled out of there stuffed, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and **STOP**. Trust me – you’ll thank me later. See you soon, Big Daddy’s!

Everything in here looked and smelled Delicious. I’m new to Mississippi and wanted some Soul Food and stumbled on this place. And let me tell you, I’m so happy I did! I wanted a vegetable plate, so I got some Greens, Candied Yams, and Mac & Cheese. Everything was delicious. Now the Service, I was taken by the Sweetess of the Lil Kings running the place. They were so helpful and polite, I was amazed. I absolutely love this spot and will most definitely be back and I’m bringing my Crew!!!!

The food is usually good but diners are NOT required to wash hands before handling buffet style food. That’s a turnoff when you come in behind a construction worker with filthy hands. I just left without making a purchase. Next time I arrived at 5:30 because the advertise closing at 6pm. They were closed already food put away and everything. My first encounter was the best. The food is seasoned well. The dressing was a bit wet but everything else was worth a return trip. They have reasonable prices with good specials!!!

I’ve never been here before today… passed it so many times! Had to visit Gulfport today and decided to stop and I’m so happy I did. I was a little confused when I entered because I thought I would have to order from a menu but it was self-serve style. A woman came from behind the counter and immediately greeted me and explained to me everything I needed to know. There were so many options I was overwhelmed lol. I got just what I wanted. The portion was more than enough to eat for lunch and dinner for me and the price was great! I will definitely be back. Can’t believe I slept on this restaurant for all this time smh. My food was so good omg… reminded me of my mom’s cooking so far from home!

Me and the wife recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic black family-owned restaurant in Gulfport, Mississippi, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a young teenager who was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. The food was absolutely excellent, with each dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. The selection on the menu was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to choose from.

Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also spot-on. Every staff member was friendly, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. The location added to the charm of the restaurant, providing a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy our meal.

One delightful touch was when the teenager, who introduced himself as “Little Daddy,” brought a certain flair to our experience with his charm and enthusiasm. It added a personal touch that made our visit even more memorable.

Overall, our experience at this restaurant was a perfect 10 out of 5 stars. We will definitely be returning whenever we find ourselves back in Gulfport, Mississippi. Highly recommended!

If you want great soul food, this is the place to go! The food is some of the best I’ve tasted in my life. From their fried, chicken, fried pork chops, fish, greens, mac&cheese, sweet potatoes, cornbread, ribs, etc, it’s all good! The atmosphere is pleasant and the customer service is good. They have dine-in and take-out. They also have outside seating with tv. The location is easy to find, being right off Highway 49. Go and check them out! Worth the drive and money!

Walked in and was greeted by the most polite young man, love it!!! The Mac and cheese and cabbage was great, they didn’t have alot of the options we came for but we did get was good. Love the young man at the register too, to see them learning the business and doing it better then most adults was amazing LOVE IT
