Growing up in Pittsburgh, Eat’n Park was never just a diner it was a piece of home. With around 24 locations scattered across Allegheny County, it’s as much a part of the city’s fabric as the skyline itself.

From the warm smiles that greet you at the door to those unforgettable breakfasts that rival any big name chain, Eat’n Park is where memories are made over a stack of pancakes or a classic Smiley Cookie. It’s the kind of place you grow up assuming is just a standard everywhere until you leave town and realize it’s a uniquely Pittsburgh gem.

So, whether you’re a local reminiscing or a visitor looking for an authentic taste of the ‘Burgh, let me tell you: Eat’n Park is where those cozy, hometown vibes live. It’s more than a diner it’s a piece of Pittsburgh’s heart.

Me and my wife went here last week for dinner and our server Crystal went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. We have came here many times before and I can honestly say she is the best server we have had. The food was perfect nice and hot when it came out will definitely be coming back.

Walked in at 7:40pm for some food because I was hungry. There was no employee in the front. I sat down and waited for someone to at least come out. At 8:10pm, I left. 30 mins with no service. I was more than patient. I think whoever was working the front on 12/19/24 should definitely be fired at most or reprimanded at the least. That’s pretty unacceptable for a food service place.

I’ve been eating here for years and it’s unfortunate I have to update such a positive review for a negative one. I most recently ordered here on April 10 & May 3rd.

April 9 I had given birth, was unable to eat a full meal in the hospital and came home to celebrate on the 10th. A few minutes away from the restaurant I placed a to go order and went to the to go window just to make a small update since I couldn’t reach anyone by phone. I was met by possibly a manager who was very curt and told me that my order would be ready a quarter after and to come back. We waited jumped in line and still ended up waiting. I never got to make my updates. We got our food which by the way was expensive, feeding a family of four, nothing was hot, my fish sandwich was soggy. I chalked it up because of the time of day and I absolutely didn’t have the energy.

Fast forward this is one of my favorite places three of us decide on salad and think why not here. I ordered my son a kids meal hamburger and we got a few other things. The burger was red and raw on the inside. I did call because that’s my child’s food, had we not broken it up he could’ve gotten very sick eating that. I’m disappointed because in all the years I’ve been eating here I’ve not had many complaints. For the cost of the food and the lack of places to eat in the vicinity things can absolutely be done better.

My three favorite things from eat n park are the mozzarella sticks, lemonade, and Oreo cookie pie. I don’t know who made this particular pie but honey it was like the best dag on piece of pie I’ve had from an eat n park in a while. My mozzarella sticks didn’t even make it out the car therefore they didn’t get a picture but I thoroughly enjoyed my to-go order tonight.

Eat and park fell of the planet. They used to be a place where I could go and eat a reasonable meal for a fare price. They are so cheap now that they sold me a prepackaged fish sandwich that they microwave. It was disgusting . All the portions they give you to eat couldn’t satisfy a preschool student.

Service was terrible from the moment we stepped in took 10 minutes to sit at a table. The waiter turned out to be nice, but I didn’t agree with the Manager in the rules on the menu. I tried to order an entrée meal with premium sides which it was Fish and the premium side (shrimp 3 for $3.00) he wasn’t allowing the waiter to add my order. I was willing to pay the extra fee but twice he denied her placing my order. The ignorant part is that not once did he come out and explain to me why I couldn’t order a $16 piece of fish with three shrimp that cost $3.20 on the side as my Side when I was willing to pay the extra money this happened last Saturday. I will never go to that Eat’n park again in McKeesport.
