I love everything about this place and my family has been getting Chinese take-out here for decades. Let me be clear on my rating – I’m not looking for wonderful ambiance or ample seating in a Chinese take-out restaurant. I’m looking for a no-nonsense experience and good food, prepared quickly at a decent price. King’s Garden hits the mark and never disappoints. It helps to be a repeat customer so you understand that when you call in an order, you should be prepared to order exactly what you want, not ask extraneous questions or plan to have a conversation. Just call and be specific, and then enjoy your food shortly thereafter, it is always delicious.

I never write reviews and I honestly feel bad for having to write this one. But I can’t contain it because this is hands down the worst experience I’ve had with a restaurant thus far in life. For starters, the woman working the phones and register was incredibly rude. I absolutely understand that people have bad days, we all do, but this was excessive. But the worst part of all is what I found in my takeout bag when I got home. I ordered vegetable egg fu young and cold sesame noodles. What I got was…. Highly questionable and basically looks like it’s already been eaten. It wasn’t cheap, either so that adds to my frustration. I really wanted to love this place and I hope I just got them on an off day but this was my experience. Atleast my garbage can got a full meal ♀️

The food is SURPRISINGLY GOOD ! Fresh vegetables , cooked to order, just your style, spicy if you like. All the locals love King’s Garden . No flounce just good food . Atmosphere is ok bc it’s takeout.

Thank God I only ordered a soup. Stopped in order some hot and sour soup, lady was rude as hell! And that was the worst soup I ever ordered from a Chinese place!!!! It literally tastes like dirty dish water! So out the window it went! If you can’t make a decent soup, what’s the rest of your food going to taste like

Had to spit it out.
I grew up around good cook’s, I even know a couple of chef’s that are great cook’s.
Also the woman on the phone was very abrupt and hung up before I finished the order (good thing!) and sent the wrong soda.

We go once a month the family that owns it is so amazing and sweet and there food blows anyone’s food away around here in the state of RI or Conn they are the best we moved 10 years ago to RI from NY kings is authentic real Chinese food we get new dishes every time just to try things we have 8 of us at home we all agree kings Garden is number one we drive 30 min once a month to get it and so do my kids definitely go check them out

Food tastes good, and the portions are generous. The staff is no nonsense, I mean that as a compliment. Grew up eating take out from here.

Customer for over 20 years. Shrimp & squid with mixed vegetables is always great. Vegetables are NEVER soggy or overcooked and seafood is always fresh.
Beef & string beans also perfect. Spotless/clean not fancy. Hostess NOT rude, overworked & reserved.
Never closed on Monday (like most local restaurants), Open 7 days a week at least until 10 (not 11) PM.
