This was our first time here. Hanna was our server. She did a stellar job! Thank you, Hanna! The food was delicious. Thank you to the chefs! There were 3 of us. We all got the same thing. The zucchini platter, Filets, made medium, with loaded baked potatoes, and a side salad. Everything was made perfectly. Thank you, Monroe’s for also making your side salad with romane lettuce! That is much appreciated. Restaurant looked clean, as well as the restroom. This may have been our first time here but, it certainly won’t be our last! Cleaned plates, and very satisfied customers here! I highly recommend Monroe’s!

Lunch was very enjoyable for our small family. French onion soup and chili were quite fulfilling on a cold, snowy day. We all had sandwiches and were quite satisfied with our selections. We ordered desserts, only to realize such generous portions, would best be enjoyed later at home. Our waitress, Vivian, was very attentive and friendly and made for our first (but definitely not last!) experience very enjoyable.

Beautiful atmosphere and a wonderful cozy vibe inside the restaurant. Had space for our big group of 11 and took care of us quickly getting drinks out, including delicious hot chocolates.
Service was really great, our server Pauline was very friendly and attentive along with the young man helping her.
The food seemed to be made from scratch, ie home made style cooking and it was very very delicious along with the desserts.
Will probably come back next time I make my way out this direction.

I went here for Valentine’s Day dinner and the service was friendly and very fast. The food was good, but the desserts are where Monroe’s shines. We got the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer, and they did not skimp on the toppings. They consisted of a small bed of tortilla chips piled with flavorful and juicy BBQ pulled pork, diced tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños, and salsa, then drenched with a cheese sauce. Pretty good stuff.
The side salads were a bit sad-looking, but to be fair, it’s a side salad. I had the pesto pasta and added steak and shrimp; I also finished the other half of my girlfriend’s steak alfredo. For starters, they clearly put effort into the presentation, as you can see from the pictures. I liked the fact that it was a creamy pesto because sometimes regular pesto can end up too watery. It was a solid dish; however, my steak seemed basically unseasoned and the bread was extremely salty and too crispy for my liking. In contrast, the steak in my girlfriend’s dish was seasoned quite well and had lots of flavor. As for the alfredo sauce, I can vouch for it as well.
Now for the star of the show: dessert. Our waitress came up to us with a huge tray filled with tasty, homemade treats. Of these, we selected the Oreo cheesecake, the turtle cheesecake, and the “Better Than Anything/Everything?” chocolate cake. Listen, I’m a certified glutton when it comes to food, and these are some of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Everything was sweetened, flavored, baked, and topped perfectly. Lots of people end up with a dry and crumbly chocolate cake that is only saved by heaps of frosting. The one I had here was super moist and basically melted in my mouth. The cheesecakes were also ridiculously creamy.
Overall, not a bad experience by any means. The shortcomings of the main dishes might have just been an off-night, especially since we came so close to closing. They have an interesting menu and I would definitely be down for giving them another shot, even if just for those desserts.

Went after a long day of adventures with the family. Service was excellent. As for the food it was decent, ordered a ribeye med. Came out more rare and actually almost cold. Other meals kids and wife said where pretty good but also not quite as “hot” to come out of the kitchen. It was a long day and we were all hungry, it was getting late and I did not say anything as we wanted to eat and get out. So, full disclosure we did not give the server or the restaurant staff and opportunity to fix it. First impression, however decent place for a meal. Prices are on point and the beer prices, I have not seen these prices in years! Would try again, and if had an issue would bring it up next time. Very clean….Only comment on atmosphere is the music, and I’m not picky at all, and selection might be for the crowd who are regulars but it is sleepy. Lol.
Definitely visit though. Even for a beer.

The food here was very good — tasty, well-prepared, and nicely presented. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn when we noticed a roach on the table shortly after our meal was served. I quietly handed it to the server, who simply said “sorry,” and no further action was taken. There was no offer to make it right or even an acknowledgment of how unpleasant that was. We still had to pay the full bill, which was disappointing given the situation. Cleanliness and customer service are just as important as good food, and I truly hope the management addresses this issue so no one else has to experience it.

We normally love this place, but it took about an hour to get a simple bowl of soup, blt, and crab dip! A table of 5 came a good 15 minutes after us and they got their salads immediately. My complaint fell on deaf ears as the manager made no apology, just said have a good day. An apology would have been better than nothing.

This is the second time we’ve been at Monroe’s. The food was just as delicious as it was the first time. I love the atmosphere and the servers are so nice. The dessert tray is irresistible!
