Never knew the place was there until I passed by. For being a small corner shop I’m glad I went and had a wonderful experience. I went around 2pm on a Sunday and it was far too empty for the great service and food Yamado has to offer. I had the Tako karage for an appetizer and the octopus was so tender and crispy. My main was the shoyochasu ramen and the flavor was absolutely wonderful. I personally like more charred chasu but it was so tender it melted in your mouth. Will definitely be coming back again

You know there is saying that don’t judge the book by its cover, same goes here. We almost left after seeing the look of the place next to pawn shop, but so glad we went in to eat. It has very cozy atmosphere, couple serving felt personal and very comfortable. I talked to the gentleman and he is running the place for over 30 years. Just amazing to see the family dedication which is missing in fancy restaurants today. So many cute arts from many young artists . Food was absolutely outstanding especially ramen. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to experience local cuisine.

This is authentic tradition sushi!

It’s a small business run by the owner and his assistant. It’s not a corporate tempo for eating, but that’s the point. The quality of every item on the menu is hard to match.

The sushi is amazing, from the maki to nigiri & sashimi. Also Asian dishes from Ramen to bulgogi & salmon. Each is fabulous in its own way.

I can highly recommend the experience.

Bring your best behavior and you might endear yourself to Chef and get access to one of his special homemade sauces.

Enjoy a rare treat of Sushi & Asian dishes made the traditional way.

I’ve been reminiscing on my trip to Japan a lot ever since I came back, so I decided on getting some Japanese food to hopefully satisfy me The interior looked and felt so warm with the carefully decorated art made by customers and the staff were welcoming The dishes cane out timely with good portions and tasted fresh and well-cooked I enjoyed talking to the staff, as they were so sweet and funny, and overall I had a great experience

Amazing Ramen – best I’ve ever had by far! Very nice and comfortable atmosphere, primarily due to the nice gentleman and his wife. They exude a certain warmth and friendliness that makes you feel welcome. Menu was pretty extensive but they focus on ramen. Highly recommended!

There is no negative to report. Every single food item was delicious. Attention to detail is astounding. Your food comes out amazing and you think, “this is a mom and pop restaurant?” Top notch! From the tofu to the sashimi to the tonkotsu, simply amazing.

They opened in 1996 and have been family owned the entire time. And it shows. They know what they are doing. Delicious, quality food and fair prices. Lovely staff. Such a treat to dine here.

I went for lunch. I want to go back for a nice dinner with the spouse. I feel it would be magical to eat top quality sushi in a little family owned restaurant. The smaller seating area gives it an intimate, romantic feeling.

Thank you for such a wonderful introduction to your restaurant. It’s marked in my favorites now!

What an excellent experience!

When we saw the sign for the location it didn’t look that great. The plaza looked a bit worn down and uninviting but I am so glad we decided to go in!

Everything we are tasted very clean.

It felt like we were experiencing real, Japanese home cooking.

We had a sushi roll presented in flames, which gave it a wonderful torched flavor.

We also had Shiitake mushroom, spicy salmon and sweet potato.

The spicy mayo wasn’t my favorite but it didn’t even matter because everything was delicious.

We also had Yakisoba, which was incredible. I wish the portion was bigger but it was less expensive than usual so that’s ok.

Then the sushi chef brought out a wooden plate of Salmon skin, then a pair of salmon skin temaki rolls.

Everything was amazing and we’ll be sure to come back.

Thanks for the delicious cuisine and hospitality!
