humble corner spot, big flavor!

listen to the reviews: the ⭐️ jhol momo ⭐️ was the fan favorite. star of the show!

food: it was ok! what we got:
⭐️ chicken jhol momo 5/5 loved the soup! does contain peanuts
⭐️ chicken tandoori momo 4/5 good spicy level, spicy
– himilayan noodles 3/5 flavorful but only ok
– chicken jimboo le janeko 3/5 ok, kinda tasted sweet like ketchup
– chicken choyal momo 3/5 good wrapper texture, not a fan of this flavor profile on the sweeter side

service: the two folks running the place were fantastic. our server was efficient, waiting the full restaurant during a busy sunday afternoon

atmosphere: feels like a friendly, cozy neighborhood spot. almost like a hidden gem where if you know, you know

Just had the chicken Jhol momo at Nepali Momo in Philly, simple and absolutely perfect.

I’m from New York and have tried pretty much every respected spot in Jackson Heights and beyond, but this chicken jhol just blew everything else away. Bright, spicy, tangy, loaded with their homemade authentic jhol broth, that glossy red sauce on top… insane flavor in every spoonful.

The momos were perfectly steamed with thin, neat wrappers that held up beautifully in the broth. Clean execution, no fuss, just pure Nepali goodness.

Best jhol momo I’ve ever had, hands down. If you’re in Philly, run don’t walk.

I think this place truly has potential and it’s very comfortable and cozy, the service was amazing and got my food really quickly. The thing is that I ordered a mango lassi but I got a mango juice which is nothing like mango lassi and that was disappointing, I paid $6 for it, I think you could get a gallon of mango juice for that much, please fix that. Another thing the momos were missing was a momo sauce, which is very famous but without the sauce, momos seem very dry. I got a veg tandoori momos which were really good but it needs sauce and I think every plate of momo should get one kind of a sauce. Other than that, everything was good!

The goat johl momo was tasted as phenomenal as it smelled. Appreciated the variable spice options too. The tea was refreshing as well and kept me going through a late night. Fresh cut flowers on each table was a thoughtful and warming touch. Cant wait to try other dishes on the menu.

The place is nice and cozy but the momo here was just okay. My favorite was jhaneko momo but the jhol momo was kinda bitter tasting. The choila was cooked, which is very odd. Chowmin was chewy so overall we weren’t that satisfied with the food. The service was nice though

Favorite momos in the city of Philadelphia! When every restaurant in the city is striving to get consistent customers, this restaurant is packed on a Sunday evening! Because its momos are the ultimate comfort food and don’t break the bank. The goat momo soup was warm, comforting and flavorful, 5/5; the choyal Momo is served in the traditional Nepalese sauce, 5/5. The sauce had a strong tomato base. I couldn’t stop but licked the plate clean afterwards. Overall, 5/5 experience with no frills.

I’ve had many momos in my day, but this was on another level. The goat masala momos were life changing. Everything was delicious and appropriately priced. I’ll absolutely be coming back soon!

I’ve never had Nepali food and I am very glad my friends recommended this place. I got the Goat Tikka Momo and Himalayan Noodles with chicken. I love the flavors in the dishes, and while I would love to add spice to my dishes, I am glad they have choices that are not spicy since I personally can’t handle it. But my friends who can LOVE getting their dishes spicy.

The food was incredible, high quality, and fairly priced. I loved the cozy layout and decor of the restaurant, and authentic cuisine. The staff was so friendly and hard working—even during peak busy hours! I highly recommend coming here, enjoying a warm meal, its relaxing atmosphere, and supporting this local restaurant.

A great and flavorful momo selection!

We concentrated on the strength of the restaurant, the momos!

They have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

The meat-to-wrapper ratio is good, you can actually taste the meat, which were properly seasoned. The sauce, however, is the star of the show. I actually prefer this to the Chinese style dumpling, just because of the sauce! If you like strong flavors that really pop, this is it.

The Jhol (soup style) momo is also really good, it’s perfect for a cold weather in the Himalayas.

Prices are very reasonable. Casual atmosphere, no alcohol. Service is awesome, they checked 3 times to make sure we were satisfied.
The restaurant is not big so it’s better to come during non peak hours. Street parking.
