Stopped in post-hike because they had gluten free pancakes. Got the savory version and they were everything I wanted them to be! It’s hard to find gf pancakes done well and these were even enjoyed by my gluten loving boyfriend!

Delicious breakfast with hearty portions. Loved the egg and cheese croissant with avocado and the fruit tart as well. This is definitely a place to come for breakfast often on weekends. First time here and i hope to return again next time i visit

Lovely bakery / gift shop with a huge menu. The pancakes (which are gluten free!) were fluffy and portions are huge. I tried the matcha lemonade, which sceptical at first, was a refreshing drink on a hot day.

Gift shop also has lots of lovely local wears. The young woman working the counter with the long brown hair was so nice and wrapped my gifts up beautifully (and at no extra cost!).

We are visiting Aptos and was looking for a place to have breakfast. We were really pleased with the food. The food is a little pricey in this area but it’s worth it. The quality was amazing! We ordered the farmers breakfast, Florentine omelette, French toast, avocado toast, egg and cheese croissant. The potatoes were really good. Pick those over the hash browns. The hash browns need more seasoning.

The owner is Dave is amazing, met him this morning and he asked for feedback, so here it is. Otherwise I would probably have not left a review.

I’m a bit bummed to not give it 5 stars across the board but there was a few things that missed the mark for me.

Please take into consideration that I’m a bit of a food snob since I spend so much money eating out and restaurants all over the country.

I ordered the farmers breakfast with a stack of savory pancakes. My pancakes were put on to my wifes plate, so that led to some confusion. My wife ordered the same thing but with regular pancakes.

I got mine with bacon and she got hers with the pork sausage. My bacon was really undercooked and floppy.

I’m a fan of Bacon being fully cooked and not floppy. I can tell they sed liquid smoke on it which left an after taste which was not favorable.

The pork sausage my wife said had a wierd after taste as well, and again that may just be a personal preference.

When I got my toast on my plate I was excited but when we went to get the butter it was cold as was the toast so putting butter on my toast was essentially impossible.

We also had to ask them after we they get hs our food for butter and syrup, that small detail makes a difference in the experience.

The foil wrapped dairy gold butter just feels cheap for such a great meal, that’s my biggest criticism.

Now that we got all of the criticism, this is what was exceptional.

I was really impressed with the gluten free pancakes especially the savory pancakes, very delicious and a creative concoction.

The potatoes were also very good, perfectly seasoned and cooked. And the fruit was delicious.

I would have taken photos but was too hungry to take one this time, I will definitely be back because I can tell the owner really cares and will see this feedback and want to improve in some way.

The entire place was beautiful, we sat outside next to the heaters and the selection of other things to buy was really cool, especially for my daughter.

Overall I’m happy we came just wish I would have ordered the Savory pancakes instead, 2 is definitely not enough, need the full stack next time.

Service was also great overall, they did forget my daughters ham and Swiss crossiant that was ordered and said we didn’t pay for one, when we did, but they fixed it. When she realized I had asked for it to be wamred up.

Everyone was friendly and helpful and that’s what matters most, highly recommend this place.

Sister brought a huge fruit tart from Farm Bakery Cafe a few months ago, so when I found out this was in Santa Cruz, this was a must on my to-visit place in person!

The fruit tart is amazing here. Perfectly sweet fruits. Delicious crust and the right amount of cream. The fruit tart in general is not overly sweet and has the perfect amount of texture.

Came by hoping we could pay per slice, but they didn’t have that option. Instead, they have a fruit tartlet for $7 which is your own personal fruit tart! It is a perfect size, but it is so addicting, you might need more than one.

Parking on site. Be careful there is a steep dip turning into the parking lot..so scraped a bit of my car.

I did see other folks order non-dessert food and it looked quite good with large portions. Might just need to try the food out next time!

Have been looking forward to trying this place out for a while now. Sadly did not live up to expectations or online reviews. Service was very slow and seemingly often confused by the options available. All three dishes we ordered were wrong in some way. Two dishes included poached eggs, which were all undercooked. Very expensive too.
I liked the vibe of the place, but sadly let down by everything else.

Everything was perfect, helped us make a Mother’s Day to remember. The cheese cake was rich and creamy but not too sweet. The carrot cake good but not great. The tarts were pretty to look at, sweet but not overly so and fresh with a touch of tartness. It was all about that cheese cake though. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had such a perfect breakfast. The food was truly amazing, so we even got extra quiche for to-go. Love the outdoor heating seats. What are lovely atmosphere? Thanks.
