Lamb chops and drinks were amazing. Service was top notch. Calamari was cooked with green onions, jalapeños and was perfectly salted. Oysters were OK. Appetizer sampler was above average. Overall, great restaurant. Will return.

Elia in San Carlos is absolutely amazing. The service is exceptional — friendly, attentive, and truly makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
The food was outstanding. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the seafood pasta with lobster was top-notch, and the octopus was perfectly cooked and delicious. The filet mignon literally melted in your mouth.
The restaurant itself has beautiful decor and a wonderful Greek vibe that makes the whole experience feel special.
What really touched us was the birthday card signed by the entire staff — such a thoughtful and sweet gesture that made the celebration even more memorable.
We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Elia is one of my personal favorites. The food is always so good and the service is top notch. I’ve tried other Greek restaurants in the neighborhood and there’s no comparison. I’ve gone with small and large parties and everything is always perfect. If you want Greek food, do yourself a favor and come here.

I love this restaurant. Everything from design to dishes/drinks and service are outstanding. Didn’t even realize they opened, so I went there with my son mid afternoon and was so surprised by the food that we reserved a table that weekend to go back. We just reserved again so this is the 3rd time in 1 month.

The good – the place is nicely set up, great vibe for a date night, or evening out with some friends so very cozy on the inside. The food, mixed reviews.
Apps – Sanganki, Tzatzki and Octopus were very good
Mains: Konkkinisto (braised lamb), Paella and salad were a bit underwhelming.
For the price of the food, felt flat and underwhelmed from the food so if returning, prob just for drinks and some side dishes. Everything else will pass.
Parking is a bit challenging in the area but not too bad.. but the service – there’s a barage of older men that continue to ask you if your’e ready to order, and as soon as the food comes out they come and ask to clear your plates when you’re still working. completely obnoxious when you’re trying to relax and enjoy your company/conversation.

Fabulous vibe & ambiance, excellent food, great serving staff. Service was slow due to probably staff shortage but our server went out of her way to take care of us. We had the appetizer sampler, Octopus, Greek salad, Seabass & New York strip steak. All items were delicious!

I’m so excited they have Elia on the Peninsula. They have another location in Pleasanton with a huge outdoor patio. Both restaurants have the same beautiful interior with the white and blue furnishings and gold accents. Outside on the patio, they have blankets draped on the chairs for chilly days/nights. It feels like you’re on vacation dining in the Greek Islands. We went on a client lunch during the weekday; we were the only ones dining inside but I’m confident this place gets full in the evenings. The Greek food is delicious with a huge variety on the menu. We started with a flight of oysters which our server identified for us, and Greek Spread combo. The basket of bread was warm, fresh and soft and when dipped in their olive oil, you just had to have even more. I had the Moussaka with the lamb, they have a vegetarian version, as well. I prefer the vegetarian as the ground lamb can be overpowering in the dish. Others had the grilled seabass which comes with a side of Greek salad. The fish although not de-boned was tender and flavorable. Another dish was the salad with salmon and everyone literally oohed and aahhed as our colleague cut into the thick buttery steaming flesh. As for desserts, they are all made in-house. We shared the molten chocolate lava and the cheesecake. They were plated like works of art. If I wasn’t so full, I would’ve had the chocolate all to myself! Everyone in the restaurant were so pleasant, attentive, and looked happy working there. We just had an overall great experience that we agreed – we had to absolutely come again.

What an incredible dining experience! I ordered the lamb chops and also tried the tzatziki both were absolutely delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The tzatziki was fresh and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite was a delight. The presentation was elegant, and the portion size was just right. The service was fantastic fast and professional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole evening even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and excellent service!
