Very close to Legoland and easy parking since it’s inside the mall. The food was delicious and healthy, and the staff were kind and friendly. A great spot after a fun day at Legoland—highly recommend!

I’ve been following them since before they became Mot’to. The freshness in flavors, everything perfectly cooked, char grilled proteins and veggie skewers I used to eat here every day when the original place was in San Marcos but I do not mind driving down a little more for my fix. Great job ! See y’all soon!

Act of kindness and respect. My husband is a Vietnam vet. We ordered our food at the counter. We didn’t notice the placard at the counter saying “ we give discounts to vets”. Our number was called and we went to the counter, paid and brought the delicious Japanese food to our table. I asked Buddy, did you get your discount? He was unaware. We inquired about it mid meal. They offered to re-ring our tab. We said don’t bother, we’ll get you next time. The owner or manager not sure who he was didn’t let it go. He noticed we were drinking water with our meal. He came over with bottled water and said this is for you. We honor all veterans. Thank you for your service. It really touched our hearts. Made our day. Not to mention the food was excellent and fresh

Had our lunch 30 mins after opening so there’s no line.
Combo Bento (Chicken Teriyaki with Cali Roll ) – comes with rice, salad and miso soup also. I wish the chicken was cooked with more teriyaki sauce on it. There’s available sauces at the counter but it’s different if you had the sauce added while cooking/grilling.
Chicken and Cali Roll – 3/5
Cucumber Salad – fresh veggies, well seasoned and dressing was balanced. 5/5
Combo Bento (Steak with Cali Roll) – I wish the steak is more tender. Lacks seasoning. 3/5
Asian Coleslaw – fresh ingredients and tasty dressing. 5/5

My friend and I both ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Combo ($~10). The rice is super delicious. The combo came with a soup or salad, my friend said the miso soup was better than the seasame Asian salad that I got.

The rice is never cooked properly, and the fish quality is nothing to brag about. Wait times are long, San Diego has weird foot traffic, and so do shopping malls, but I’ve never just walked in here and gotten my food. I’ve since stopped going.

I just had the pleasure of trying this restaurant for the first time yesterday.
My husband and I had our own seafood salads to go.
They were delicious and very generous with the fish portions for how affordable they were!
And the staff were very friendly and helpful.
