We had a wonderful first-time experience here with a weekend lunch. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and we got there early enough to snag a booth. The ambiance is warm and lively, between the live greenery hanging from the ceiling and the beautiful Mexican decor. The menu is late and full of enticing dishes; it was hard to decide which to go with. Everything we tried was delicious. We started with guacamole (highly recommend getting this) with the chips provided, along with drinks from the specials list – spicy Palomas (yum!). The burritos and chicken mole negro were flavorful and packed with quality ingredients. We were too full for dessert but would definitely try it on another trip. We’ll be back again soon!

Everything tasted fantastic, the La Rhumba drink honestly only tasted like lime with a hint of coconut lurking around, wouldve liked a little more coconut flavor to be there but still alright. Server was very attentive and kind, always a good experience. The atmosphere was incredibly loud, some songs were louder than the already loud ones.

This is a must visit location if you enjoy authentic Mexican with a suburban twist! Great location and absolutely splendid food. I always get the fajitas which come out sizzling hot each time. I went yesterday with my mother and were blown away by our amazing server and how quickly we were met with water and chips and salsa to start. I’ve been here over 10 times and will always rave about this place.

Disappointing Experience Despite High Expectations
We arrived at the restaurant around 6:00 PM and were seated promptly on the patio. At first, this seemed like a great start, but unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. After being told multiple times that our server would be “right with us,” it took a full 20 minutes before we were even asked for our drink order. In the meantime, different staff members brought water and chips and salsa — each repeating the same promise that our server would be with us shortly. Drinks finally arrived around 6:30, and our queso shortly after — which tasted like it may have come from a jar (though I can’t say for sure). Our entrees arrived ten minutes later, but were dropped off without any follow-up. We needed napkins and hot sauce, but our server had disappeared again. After waiting and seeing no staff in sight, I eventually went inside and asked the hostess, who was kind enough to help us. By then, my food had gone lukewarm. I had a few bites but decided to take the rest home. When the server returned, I let her know I had already gone inside to get the items we needed. She apologized and mentioned they were busy — although from our view of the entrance, it didn’t seem like a rush ever came in. To her credit, she offered a $10 gift card after I shared our concerns, but I declined it. A few minutes later, the manager came over to apologize and removed my entree from the check. While I appreciated the gesture, I reiterated that the service was too slow and inattentive throughout the entire evening. It’s a real letdown because we had heard great things about this place and even went out of our way to try it. Unfortunately, based on this experience and location, it’s unlikely we’ll return.

I absolutely love Mexican food yet while the atmosphere and service were great the food presented well yet lacked flavor and seasoning on everything. We were brought chips and salsa and I literally had to ask myself “what is this?” there was no wow factor – the intro to the rest of your meal – I was not impressed. I ordered a quesadilla which was beautifully presented but the chicken & tortilla lacked flavor and seasoning – a little salt and pepper, maybe cumin, cilantro would’ve helped. My daughter ordered the Baja tacos and she advised that while it presented well it also lacked seasoning in the fish and in the batter the fish was cooked in. My other daughter had steak tacos and was not satisfied with the lack of seasoning as well. The drinks were great, the service was great but the food, not so much. Looks can be deceiving, this truly cannot be a “authentic” Mexican Kitchen.

I’ll get right to it, reservations on a friday night, got us right in, table ready on time, excellent food and service. The downside on this visit; when it’s busy it’s more than a little noisy and it was a bit cramped and I’m being picky here. What I’m not being picky about is the quality of the drinks and bar service. The young lady bartender took nearly 10 minutes to prepare 2 house double drinks because she was casually having conversations with another bartender and a patron, and had to urgency to make or drinks. On top of that, 1 had no detectable spirits in it, the other had no more than a single. I’m not a fan of sweet margaritas but mine was so acidic I didn’t bother finishing it as my stomach was already getting upset. I’m also not a fan of paying a premium price for sub par things.

We were an older party of four. One diner’s chicken was a bit overcooked but everything else was great. Cozy bar area with a top notch knowledgeable young woman barkeep slinging the drinks. Food was reasonable and good, servers were friendly and hard-working. The space is very nicely decorated, but it’s probably real noisy when it gets crowded, so weekdays might be better.

Just went to this restaurant for the first time last night. The decor is great. The music is perfect. The vibe is truly 10/10. Unfortunately, the service is extremely slow. Our waitress was all around us cleaning off other tables but would go really long periods of time without checking on us. After a really long time waiting, we received the birria eggrolls which were just good. We were not checked in on for a long time after that but eventually received our entrees. The tamales were extremely salty. The mahi mahi was tough, overcooked and had the consistency of chicken.. It was just served on top of a mountain of rice and beans (poor portioning). The waitress never once checked on us until it was time for the bill, so we never got to tell her about the food since she never cared to ask or even service our table. Every time she did come to our table it was rushed and she always had many dishes from other tables in her hands so we never got the attention that we are used to at other restaurants in the area. Unfortunate first experience and impression. We smelled the fajitas ordered by other guests so if we go back it will be just to try to support and to try the fajitas… if the experience is the same as last night, we will not be coming back. All in all we spent almost 3 hrs there due to slow service having mediocre drinks and food we were not happy with. Thankfully they had a good playlist going over the speakers I guess. I hope it’s better next time because I think they have a lot of potential for growth in this establishment.

The mole Amarillo is the most interesting sauce I’ve ever had. I could bathe in it.
I’ve frequented this place since they’ve opened. Somehow I feel their mole sauces have substantially improved. I’ve always loved the mole negro and it’s still fantastic. I love the nuisances in the lighter moles they offer with the red and verde. However, their new Amarillo is a home run Michelin ready addition to the menu. I wish they would offer their moles with their chips because that’s how I like them.

This is my new favorite place to get fish tacos. The Baja tacos were absolutely one of the top 10 meals that I’ve had of a Mexican variety!!! The fish was fried and crisp to absolute perfection, and I don’t even like coleslaw and it was fantastic on these! The small strips of mango added the zing and sweetness that completed the whole thing. And their rumless piña colada was to die for as well. The atmosphere was top tier and so immersive, I can only compare it to my experiences at Disney world! Amazing restaurant, 10/10, I will be back with everyone I know!
