Came in from out of town for a couple of Cards games. We came back to back days and had some great breakfast on day 1 and then a brisket sandwich on day 2. The bourbon selection was as good as I’ve seen. The barrel picks tasters were on point. The food was equally as good. It was only matched by the service. It’s a must if your pre-gaming for a Cards

Went for brunch and were not disappointed. The Rose mimosa was delicious, the buffalo chicken dip is some of the best I’ve ever had. It was a relaxed atmosphere and not the quickest service but we didn’t mind as we weren’t in a rush or going anywhere. Our server did a great job and you can’t beat the location. We plan on coming back next time we go to a game.

Fantastic food! Enjoyed several items from the menu. Can’t really go wrong with your selections. Nice atmosphere. Ample TVs. Solid seating surfaces. Cushioned seating would have been nice. Amazing overall.

Like overcooked Applebee’s food. It also took three hours to get our good. We were a big group with more than ten people , and I think they only had one new guy in the kitchen. Server was nice. smash burgers were overdone and mid at best. Chicken sandwich was not nearly as good as a chic fil a sandwich.

The Midwestern is a perfect indoor/outdoor brunch spot located near Busch Stadium. This sports bar-restaurant hybrid offers a unique brunch experience with American fare and a spritz tower.

There was a group of 5 of us so we got to try one of everything on the menu. I got the smoked hash with veggies. It delicious.

This spot is a vibe with great music and plenty of sunlight. Momma said you need Vitamin D on Saturday mornings.

We had a great experience! Good pour of wine and great food! We got the buffalo pulled pork dip, the Philly cheesesteak in a bowl with extra brisket, and the spruce street double burger. Everything was incredible! Will go back again.

Really cold and trendy spot! Bar is awesome and food is great! We took the wings (that were our of this world) and then deviled eggs. The ribs were good even though we were looking for the beef ribs. Mac and cheese was super tasty. The waitress was nice, but a bit clueless. She said she could collect our empty trays but never came back (literally never since another waitress came to pick it up after 20min) the ribs were a bit lukewarm and no beef ribs.

I waited for a long time to be able to go to this lovely restaurant and I finally got to do it on my birthday. First thing I noticed was the very inviting atmosphere of this amazing bar and the smell of freshly smoked BBQ in the air. After being seated we where greeted by a wonderful server and she brought us the drink menu. Now as much as I wanted to have a alcoholic beverage for my birthday I was enticed by the restaurants non alcoholic drinks. One being made with Earl grey tea and looking like a beer. Then we ordered our food and It was love at first sight. The smoked wings nearly brought a tear to my eye. The of the bone rib sandwich was incredible and the smoked turkey leg was a sight to behold. On top of that all of the sides were amazing. All in all The Midwestern is one of the TOP BBQ restaurants in the Downtown St Louis area and they are definitely giving all the others a run for their money.

I went here for lunch and the place was pretty busy but we were seated right away. Since I came during the work day, I didn’t get to play with the drink menu but the food menu was just fine.

Food comes on a metal tray and sides come in ceramic bowls (much larger than the smaller styrofoam cups from Big Baby Q.)

The brisket is just as good as it was in Maryland Heights. Ben Welsh does a great job. I had the brisket platter with a side of pit beans and potato salad. The meat was very good but the sides were pretty standard. The candied jalepenos that were supposed to be in the potato salad (mayo based) were not able to be tasted.

Prices are standard for the area but be advised there is no free parking. Nice place and I will happily return!

Food was very good. Younger type crowd. Average mimosas, but it is $20 bottomless, so one can’t be too picky.
