Sushi On Fire – Long Beach
Our first visit to Sushi On Fire was an absolute hit. From the moment we sat down, the service was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, especially for a first-time visit with friends.
Everything we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and downright delightful. While Sushi On Fire is clearly known for their creative and flavorful rolls (and they definitely live up to the hype), what really impressed us was the nigiri. The slices of fish were massive, beautifully presented, and showcased the quality of the seafood perfectly — rich, clean flavors with great balance.
Each dish that hit the table looked just as good as it tasted, and nothing felt rushed or overlooked. It’s the kind of place where you can tell they take pride in both their food and the overall experience.
This was our first time visiting, but it definitely won’t be our last. We’ll absolutely be back the next time we’re in the Long Beach area.

Sushi on Fire in Long Beach has quickly become one of our favorite spots. This was my girlfriend’s and my second visit, and Dara—our amazing waitress—actually remembered our names. She gives fantastic recommendations, including an incredible bluefin tuna dish this time around. She really knows her stuff and makes the whole experience even better.
We always get the big Asahi beers that come with sake, and the spicy edamame is seriously the best we’ve ever had. Everything is always fresh, and we’ve been seated right away on both visits.
There was also another super friendly waitress helping out, and my girlfriend pointed out that she had a really cute hairstyle—we didn’t catch her name, but she added to the great vibe of the night.
Sushi on Fire nails it every time. Great service, great food, great energy. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. I don’t remember what I got but it was pretty good. The server was very friendly and assisted us pretty quick. All around a good spot to eat while on 2nd street.

⭐️ Pleasantly Surprised at Sushi on Fire, Long Beach ⭐️
We came to this restaurant because we were in a hurry and it really surprised us. Every sushi roll we ordered was super delicious and fresh, and best of all, it came out really fast. The only downside was that there was only one waiter, and he didn’t seem very friendly. But his assistant was the complete opposite, super fast and very kind. They should definitely promote him to waiter, or better yet, switch their roles. Their menu is also one of the most extensive I’ve ever seen! Unfortunately, because we were in a rush, I forgot to take photos. But for the food, I absolutely recommend this place 100%!
This is an update, we have come back several times as we loved the food and we haven’t seen that waiter anymore!!!

Group of my friends went out to dinner for a girls night out at Sushi on Fire. Oscar was our server. He took such good care of us! Not to mention the assisting staff! Food was amazing! We will be back!

Sushi on Fire” truly lived up to its name! I visited with a friend and had an unforgettable experience. I indulged in one type of sushi that was not only fresh but bursting with flavor. While I can’t quite recall its name, I’ve attached a picture for you all to enjoy! Our waitress was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. To top it off, the view from the restaurant was stunning, making our meal even more enjoyable. If you find yourself in Long Beach, I highly recommend stopping by. You won’t be disappointed!

Solid 4 stars! First time and won’t be the last time here! Can’t believe I have not been here yet but then again I limited eating out after the pandemic.
Sat at the bar with a friend and service was super quick! Your food will come out before you expect it! We enjoyed everything that we ordered from their extensive menu. Asked the sushi chef for his recommendations and he was very helpful.
Nigiri portions are huge!

Rice to fish ratio is perfect!
911 Roll, not pictured was the right amount of heat.
What I like is that their sauces are light, not heavy mayo based, for the dishes we choose.
