My 1st time here after several locals recommended it. It was awful. We each tried different meals and only the flounder was fair. Closing time was 9:00 pm but the restaurant closed the bathrooms at 8:40 pm as the staff poured bleach all over the floor and closed them. When we asked why the staff said it’s just what we do. I suggested closing the restaurant at 8:00 and leave the drive through open until 9:00 but the owner won’t do it. I’m sure he also has no idea what they do at during the last hour.
I would not ever go back as the food is bad and the staff just doesn’t care. It’s sad as this will be the downfall of many restaurants going forward. No outdoor seating, not even a bench.

Fries weren’t salted enough and wasn’t hardly any mushrooms on my mushroom Swiss burger. Was pretty cool in there despite it being pretty cool outside as well, when I asked the server did they have any heat, his reply was, I don’t have anything, I just work here. Pretty rude!!

All Clocks are different. The customer service was great! A friend and I went I had a Greek Salad. I love Greek Salads with Gyro well the Gyro Greek Salad. The meat was horrible which I know it was some process meat that look and taste like bologna and color of steak. We know Greek Dressing has oil and Vinaigrette. The person that made this put too much of the viaiagette it wasn’t balance it taste just like acid and vinger going down. Salads are hard to mess up but this was not good and my first time visit. Hopefully they will get it right. It was not great for 15.00 with my drink

Well, I had to say today will be my last time eating here. I walked in to pick up my to go order and watch two employees one was the manager and the other guy was fussing from the drive thru side.. Then he also used the phrase “you people”! It really just put a sour taste in my mouth. This ain’t the first time I’ve seen this happen with the manager arguing with the customer instead of showing customer service and a little bit compassion. They cannot get my money anymore.!
They need to take a class on customer service And the manager need to take managerial classes on how to manage situations instead of escalating them!!

Will never go back. Sweet Tea is terrible. Manager, said everybody loves our tea, well I’m not everyone and as a southerner who grew up on tea it was nasty, got an attitude when I asked for a refund because I don’t drink soda. Whoever the female manager is, is so rude. My order was wrong. And I didn’t enjoy the food after such a negative experience.

Best seafood daily special ever! The food was hot, like fresh cooked when ordered, the fries, the founder, the shrimp! So many shrimp. Mom had the hamburger steak and salad so much food she had to take half home. We both had been tense from doctors visits, so to get out of there and grab a meal, so good & so close was fantastic! Hats off to the chef

Omg I got the shrimp plate tonight! Shrimp are burnt, taste they dumped a bottle of salt on them, fries are stale, put my salad in with my hot food and lettuce wilted! The hush puppies are burnt as well. I literally just spit this food out, I couldn’t even attempt to chew it! This particular restaurant has gone down hill with quality food! It’s disgusting and this is the 2nd time I’ve tried to give them another chance! Won’t be going into 2026 with another chance! We used to eat here all the time.

As a customer of almosr 60 years, at this location and at the owners’ previous store on Wade Hampton, I was frustrated, disappointed, and insulted at my recent (and last) visit. Ordered and paid for a sandwich for takeout, and upon arriving home found a greasy chilly dog in the bag—not what I ordered. Returned to the store, informed the manager of the mistake only to be challenged to prove the mistake with a receipt, which I had tossed when I left the store. (I only retain receipts for retail items that I may have to return. Fast food doesn’t qualify) Implication’s was that I was either lying and/or trying to pull a fast one. Admittedly, my frustrations boiled over some into a shouting match with this person, which I regret, but taking a long time customer to task over a $5-6 item was a bridge too far in my opinion. Fortunately the gentleman who took my order about 10-15 minutes earlier stepped in and made things right. Sad that the manager used such an easy-to-resolve scenario to assert their bravado.

This is one of my favorite go to spots for a home cooked comfort food feel. The best chicken livers in town and a menu hosting tons of other food as well. You can never go wrong and the price is perfect!

The Clock is excellent for what it is – a counter-service restaurant serving up good food in generous portions at very affordable prices. There’s no confusing it with gourmet dining, but it’s an ideal place to grab a filling meal while paying about the same as you would for fast food.
There are a number of “Clock” restaurants in the area and I can’t speak for all of them, but the Congaree Road location near Haywood Mall is a winner in my book.
