Staying in Chinook during a storm and hungry. Tried our luck with DoorDash and happy to find this place still open. The fresh rolls were delicious (best peanut sauce!) as were the vegetable egg rolls. The see ew was well done too! Oh and the Thai tea, order it!

First, the lady taking orders is a gem. So friendly and helpful. I ordered the pork dumplings and the bbq chicken. Wow, both are so good.
The bbq chicken is more like a curry stewed chicken, but it was the bomb.
Also, sorry to the resturant for people taking stars off for the ambiance of a food truck. What a weird thing to do.

I am not exaggerating when I say, I think this food truck should have 1 Michelin star.
We ordered the Pad See Ew, pan fried rockfish special for $22 plus $2 for the peanut sauce and the crab wonton appetizer for $50.
Our spiciness level was medium and even though it ended up a bit too.apicy for me, I couldn’t stop eating. The sweetness of the two dishes kept me going. The rockfish curry had generous slices of onion and asparagus. The brown rice was the perfect texture. The pad see ew was one of the best I’ve tasted, great texture, sweet, salty and spicy perfectly balanced. Wow! The person who took our order was wearing a veterans cap and really sweet and nice. I’m coming again!

We are from Tacoma, WA area, but any time we head to Oregon there are 2 things we try to do every time, and that is the Cathlamet Ferry and Dee Dee Thai! Both are consistently awesome! This time we had the satay, mango curry, BBQ chicken and mango dessert – all of them were fantastic! We bought more than we can eat so we could have some the next day. Wow, the mango dessert is great for breakfast! Green rice? So delicious! (I think it may have some lime flavor). Can’t wait to go back!

Great valued food here for Astoria..and the proprietors are both cheerful and helpful. Chose your protein types for s variety of Thai classics. Mango Curry with seafood combo was a hit with me.. spice level 3 is probably hot enough for most folks ( even experienced Cajun food fans).. a great restaurant choice especially for the various Hotel guests nearby. Credit card payment is accepted.

I LOVE being able to call in my order with Annie. My food is almost always ready for me to pick it up by the time I get there. I’m always greeted with a smile and a “Hi, how are you?!” and “It’s nice to see you!” I feel like an important person, never an inconvenience and genuinely treated like family. I highly recommend this place for all things Thai.

The sweetest owners and amazing food. Tried the beef pad see ew and chicken pad Thai and both were wonderful. Pad Thai was made with tamarind paste and not tomato (you know – it was made the correct way) and transported me back to Thailand and late night pad Thai stands. Pad see ew was made with a delicious dark soy sauce and cooked perfectly.

The food was fantastic! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the atmosphere…eating at a picnic table next to a very busy (and loud) road. Get the food to go but make sure you get the food!! It’s so good.

I finally had a chance to try out DeeDee’s Thai food truck in Astoria, Oregon. I’ve been eye balling the trucks in this little corner across from the Portway for a while, and was finally able to actually stop and try some food!
The menu had some good choices, so I decided on the Yakisoba noodles. Unfortunately she was out of the egg noodles, so I agreed with a rice noodle substitution. The gal, whom I am assuming was DeeDee, was sweet, pleasant and attentive. The order was done very quickly, and it smelled heavenly.
I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed with the portion size. Considering it was $13.00, plus a few extra for a tip, I thought the portion was definitely lacking. Plus, the rice noodles were so thin and tiny, a few extra would have been wonderful, or next time use a bigger, thicker glass noodle.
The bowl had green and red peppers, onions, broccoli, carrots and chicken. It was tasty for sure. Not a “typical” teriyaki, being incredibly “soupy” and hard to eat with the plastic fork (my shirt got the brunt of it! ). But then again it’s Thai, not Japanese. It was flavorful. Just not substantial, and I actually left still feeling a bit hungry.
I’m willing to give it another try, but I’ll not order the teriyaki again. Maybe this will be an opportunity to find a new favorite! I would be happy if that could happen. I would like this place to succeed.
