We stopped after a Dr. appt in KC today. I had no idea what to expect. The homemade biscuits and bread are fabulous. I have not tasted bread that good since my Mom’s. We both enjoyed breakfast items, but the sandwiches looked delicious they were serving to other. Hidden gem in Bashor KS. Check it out if you enjoy home cooked meals.

My food was good. Tammy said hers was just ok. The creamer was cheap off brand that ended up having floaters like it possibly needed to stay in cooler. The cushions on the bench seats are worn and ripped. The menu they hand you looks like a 3 year old put it together. No descriptions on what each item has in it. Had to use my phone to look online for descriptions?? Looked like someone used a computer to print stuff and took a picture of the print. They used to have menus that were more professional looking. I got the monster sandwich which used to come with either country taters or hash browns. Even the waitress said she had complained how the menus looked with no descriptions.
We were there a week before they closed up for good. When we got there around 9 am there was only one other couple in the place. A table full of people showed up right before we left and were complaining about offerings they had on menu.
I’m glad to hear that Flashbacks from Tonganoxie is going to be moving into this location soon.

A friend of mine introduced me to this place for breakfast one morning, and it was a great breakfast at a GREAT price. There is ample parking, it’s a wait to be seated kind of place with table service and you pay at the counter when done. Our waitress was friendly and prompt on everything. She kept a great check on us. I ordered a build your own omelet, which ended up being 3 eggs. The omelet had some really great flavor to it. I also ordered hashbrowns and 1 biscuit and gravy. Hashbrowns were browned slightly for me, and the biscuit and gravy had a great flavor. This place gave us endless coffee well after we were done eating. This little place has above average food! If you’re ever in the area, stop in and give this place a whirl. I give it 2 thumbs up!

I’ve both Dined in and Ordered Catering from this Family ran Restaurant. They never Disappoint Me, My Friends or My Co-Workers. The Owners are Very Down to Earth and Super Friendly. The Mrs. Threw down on the Comfort Food Buffet for one of Our Meetings and the Crew Described it as “Thanksgiving” and “Home away from Home”.. all of their food is made with Fresh ingredients and the variety of what they can offer is enough to go there Everyday and not eat the same thing. Another great plus is they are very organized with their catering.. today I ordered individual lunch boxes for a group of 30. Every Box was Labeled Accurately, our Vegetarian/Diet Restrictions were focused on and each of my Co-workers add-ons and minuses were Precise. There was no confusion when handing out lunch today. I sure wish they were closer so I could grab breakfast from them everyday lol but until then when I get a chance this restaurant will definitely be my “Go to”.. I’m Very Impressed

Stopped by for breakfast o a Saturday after a 5k race at Legends. There were 6 of us. The place wasn’t busy and yet it took what seemed like an eternity for the solitary waitress to take our order. She did repeat all of our orders to make sure she had them correct. Food came out reasonably quick. The 3 drinking coffee complained that it was very weak. The food was average. Those who had the corned beef has thought it was good. Pancakes were dry and the syrup had a film on it that you had to punch through in order to pour it. They might have been better with real butter?? 3 of us tried to eat 2 Pancakes and couldn’t or wouldn’t finish them. The French Toast should also be avoided, ut had a strange taste to it, 3 of us tasted it, and no one wanted a second nite. The breakfast slider sandwich was ok. Many reviews rave about the homemade biscuits, I actually pulled the the eggs/sausage out and left the biscuit. It just wasn’t worth eating. The hashbrowns could have been a bit more done, but honestly they were the best thing out if everything I tried. Not sure if we will stop by I’d we’re out that way again or not. I might try lunch. But would think twice about giving breakfast another try.

Great local place for breakfast or lunch. We stopped by for breakfast and it was a great meal. We ordered the all meat skillet, Denver omelette and a full order of biscuits and gravy. The skillet has a base of seasoned potatoes covered with meat, gravy and two eggs however you like. The omelette came with your choice of toast so we went with sourdough. That was some of the best sourdough bread I have had in years. The biscuits and gravy stole the show. Those biscuits were worth every penny and the gravy was rich and meaty. Looks small from the outside but plenty of seating for a larger group. We will be stopping by again.

I have had many meals at Perkeys. Both breakfast and lunch. I have NEVER had a bad meal. Service is great, and if you leave Perkeys hungry, then you didn’t eat everything on your plate. Portions are the correct size for the price.

So disappointed this morning. The chicken fried chicken was soggy and so bland tasting. The bacon was overcooked; so average for the price. The pancake a biscuit and gravy were good at least.

My girlfriend and I have never had such a negative experience at a restaurant. We sat down in the side room when there were not very many customers in the restaurant. It took a very long time for us to get menus and speak to a server, and we didn’t put our food order in until 20 minutes after sitting down. 10 minutes after we ordered another group sat down that the waitress personally knew, and they put their order in immediately and got their food within 10 minutes. We had to sit there for nearly an hour before we finally got our food despite being promised that it was almost ready for over 30 minutes.
Believe it or not ANOTHER group that the waitress knew sat down right before we got our food and they got their food right after us. It’s obvious that they treat the regulars as first rate customers and don’t care about their non regulars. I have never not tipped at a restaurant before but this was the first time.
On top of that the menu was awful without descriptions for the items so we had to look them up online. Basehor born and raised but I will never be back.

Today was the first time we have eaten here. It was fantastic! The food was fresh. The chef salad was large and the turkey and ham on it were delicious. The bacon cheeseburger was awesome! The menu has a lot to choose from. I like that they serve both breakfast and lunch all day. The service was great. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!
